Hey Rune, I'm not familiar with Daryl's patter for this effect? Can you give a bit more information on how he does it?

I usually use this trick as part of my "Down The Pub" repertoire. I know a few more complicated and more difficult effects but there 5 or 6 tricks (of which this is one) that I can do quite well after a few pints without messing them up. Haven't been brave enough to add the invisible palm trick yet, too fiddly for a drunk to attempt.

I learnt this trick from Andrew Murray's "Thirteen" DVD. For a beginner it's absolutely fantastic. I'm trying more complicated stuff now but this DVD was great. Alternatively, you could hunt down the Download from Penguin that Stevebo mentions.

And why did you not do the 1st part????

What first part? As far as i know this is the whole trick. If there's something I don't know about that you could tell me about then I'd be glad to know about it. If it cant be discussed in the open forum then PM me. If you don't wanna discuss it there then don't worry about it, but this comment confuses me, as I have never seen this trick performed any other way.

This was expanded into a two phase routine and renamed and re-sold as "the dayley show" by penguin magic (spits)

Actually, Keymaster - the second phase had been used by many magicians long before Penguin re-packaged the effect as an instant download. Gregory Wilson's Weighted Aces is one example.

I know. Penguin added the first stage

My mistake - however, penguin didn't invent the first phase, either, as others have done similar methods before they did.

Not a bad performance could see the set up for the DL at the strat though.

When i perform the last trick routine i tend to do the initial shuffle from a biddle grip into my left hand. What this allows me to do is get a Break during the running of the cards try it yourself and you will find that it saves on doing a set up. Other than that it was performed quite well, a little different in how i do it (mine is more in line with Daryls off of the encyclopedia series of DVDs).

One more little tiny thing I would have preffered to see this done with normal cards as i thought the pink ones were a bit unclear.

Ok, someone asked for Daryl's patter.

It goes something like this.

"Well, during this trick, I am going to ask you 3 questions. 2 easy ones, and 1 really hard one..... First question.... which color does this ace have? (you should the first red ace...then put it to the left....) Secondly, which color does this ace have? (you show the second red ace... they start to laugh.... now, as you put that ace down, you go.. ) Well, now, the hard question, which ace is on... the.... top (you put the second red ace on the bottom of the "two red aces")

Now, they of course, didn't find that too hard, and say one of the red aces, let's say diamonds....

Then you say,

"Oh, no, on the top, is the ace of heart (now you turn the aces left in your hand), and on the bottom is the diamonds.... over here, are 2 black aces....."

Hope you get it.
