Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

These are not exactly the cheapest decks, but now if you go to www.magicbox.uk.com you can get elephant decks and the fashion decks (reversed green, red, and blue) for £1.99 a pack. They also have Tally Ho Viper cards or just £3.99 a pack! Its worth buying them if you like them while theyre this cheap!

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

Costco?

Postby Kryzal » Dec 16th, '05, 01:12

Well, we'd all like to buy bicycles from Costco but you have to be a member. Of course there are ways and if anyone with a membership would like to buy them for me ....... ! However, members (who do pay a subscription) tend to take advantage of it and some kindly ones pass this on at little extra charge. Where? It's e-Bay again. I get 12 packs at a very reasonable cost for the price of a search. Not like the commercial profiteering (I believe it is known as a "rip-off" in common parlance) in my local (non-magic) shop that charges £3.50 a pack.
If anyone knows a better way then please let me know. Like most (?) I get some things for free and (strangely, I know) know many of the old ways that the younger folk may not have heard of. I would be happy to help by passing on knowledge to those that can show they can be trusted.

There is magic and there are secrets. There are also magic secrets and secret magic. When you are old, you may know them all.

Much love (after some time in the darkness of computer melt-down)

I havent actually bought a pack of bicycle seconds (yet) but I notice that the blurb says they have minor printing defects (ie the cards may be printed off center).

In my experience, I can get that with a regular pack of bikes.

I have never found anything on a deck of the seconds that would make them stand out as seconds. I think that the quality control on these decks must be very high.

The only snag with them is that they come in a case marked "Seconds" but nobody has ever asked me about that.

I think that when you are using the cards the spectator is more interested in what you are doing than in whether the Ace of spades is printed one mil too far to the right.

I use seconds from Magicbox exclusively because they are at such a good price

Now there's the potential beginnings of a routine. Or, ff you mark up a couple of other decks with Firsts and Thirds then you have a great opportunity to deck change right under the specs nose by just using the right patter.

Some more thought here me thinks........
