I think you're over-reacting, just a little.
If someone is desperate enough to find how a trick is done, they'll find out of their own accord - by scanning forums etc.
Also, bear in mind that a complete beginner would have no idea what do do with the device from the photograph on the site. The mechanics of the effect are not discussed at all...
Being honest, I would doubt that Paul Daniels evens sees the website. We're a marketing and design agency, and our 'big' clients just chuck +++£'s at us to do our thing - including websites - and keep them maintained. As long as the bucks are rolling in, they don't really keep an active interest. Which is what I think is happening here...
I know what you're driving at, and I agree - it is a little explicit - but unless you know HOW the effect is done anyway, showing the props like this won't necessarily spawn a clan of DIY coin vanishers.
In context, if you present a layman with a photograph of the entire stack of components needed to create a fully functioning internal combustion engine, they won't necessarily be able to build a car...
