Great news. I think there will be a fight as to who gets to review it first. (Us TalkMagickers are so competitive that way ;)

Because I don't use a distributor I can offer my products at a very reasonable price.
The Outlaw wallet at $65.00 shipped, for a personalized item is very very Good.

The Homicide book is also custom aged by me and takes quite a bit of work.

If I went through a distributor ( They keep trying!) Homicide would have to sell for a lot more than I'm selling it for.

Advantage buyer!!

I do ship Global Priorty.

Thanks,
Rick

Homocide

Postby DrTodd » Apr 8th, '06, 06:52

This looks wonderful...had to pre-order, ships on 14 April.

As an American, this will work on both sides of the pond for me!

Roth,

The BBC has had a great series called 'Waking the Dead', which is all about cold cases. We will have a great lead in for the trick here, since many people know the show.

With the CSI craze in the US (tacky I know), the lead ins to how the UK solved crime will be great.

Looking forward to getting my copy!

Some skinny!

Postby Roth » Apr 9th, '06, 18:30

Shipping on Friday! I'm going to give you guys a little skinny(info) here.

Get your acting shoes on!
Here's some info.

You can have the spec look through the book and choose a victim. The book is very examinable. Page after page of completely different victims.

They settle on one victim. You tell them to focus. The spec does not say ANYTHING.

You then CONFIDENTELY give the spec a piece of information.
The spec replies "No, that is not correct"
You immeadiately reply back " Yes I believe I'am correct" You then reveal that your "Thought" was in fact correct!

You then start to describe the scnario that led to the killing, and the killing itself.

"His name was Terence. They met in a pub that night. She was young, in her twenties and very pretty. He followed her home."

"They heard the screams but no one came to help. It was very sad."

He stabbed her to death and left her body by the back door. They found her the next morning."

"They never found Terence...He's still out there somewhere."

That's just a snippit of how much you can reveal about the crime.

And... every crime scene can be different.

You can go into as much detail as you would like to.

There is much more that can be done. We will have many ideas and subtleties on the Homicide forum.

One more thing you will want to know...you DO NOT have to memorize ANY words to achieve the exact (or a different) scenario as the one I just gave you above.

The book has NO force pages and NO short pages. The spec has a completely free choice of ANY page.

Ok Rick,

There is only so much teasing a person can endure you know!

Seriously, this sounds like a real performers boon. My presentation style is deeply rooted in context and story telling. This allows me to try and build in the deepest possible emotional hook and "Homicide" seems the perfect companion for just that style.

So guys, sounds like you better start practicing your "fireside" story telling skills and stock up on loo roll!

Cannot wait for this! I should have my pre-order coming just in time for a special night of 'Dark Magic' I'm running for a friend, his wife and their mates from work (many horror buffs will be there I am told). Combined with some really easy self-workers from Black Artefacts, a couple of DH routines I've modified for the UK, my knife-slam routine and the Ouija from Fabrice this little book might be the icing on the cake. Again--I really cannot wait to see the postman drop this through the door.

Best Wishes,

Nathan

I've included a little provenance in the instructions. A rather sad little story about the Inspector Detective that carried this case book around long after he had retired. He had lived with the names for so long, he couldn't let go.
There is a little tie in to one of the victims in the book, her name was Isabella.

Nathan!! your book is on it's way!

AAAAARRRGGGHH!!!! :x

Damn it.. no!!!! Why did you have to post a photo on the forum?!?

Having just spent the whole weekend telling my girlfriend that I was skint and that I was worried about my cash flow the very last thing I wanted to see was something that shouted buy me at the top of it's voice! I mean at the VERY top of it's voice!!! So loud it shouted that I couldn't resist and now an order has been placed on my credit card!!!

so I say again... AAAAAARRRGGGHH!!!! :x

tch... I don't know... I give up smoking, I work my little fingers to the bone and I'm still always broke...

By the way Rick it looks like a masterpiece and you should be very proud of it (please send it double quick as I just can't wait)!!! :D
