Hello everyone. I'm 22 this year, just starting out in Magic. Haven't performed much but know a little bit (I like to read up), and so have ended up becoming somewhat of a theory kind of guy.
I'll be honest to say that I'm kind of nervous being here because I've been loitering for a while and the level of discussions here have been rather high. Everyone is so knowledgable and experienced! I'm awed.
Personally I love card magic but have a problem performing (mainly for friends and the odd theatre of invisible but appreciative audience) as I still can't get past the nerves and shaky hands. Maybe it's because I've only been doing this for a couple of months, but well, it also takes me a long time to learn sleights and just when I think I got them down pat, I start shaking and screw things up. Heh. I seem to perform better under certain conditions though - mostly after a couple of beers.

Well I don't really know where to start and where to jump in on the discussions, so first of all this little introduction about myself. I know it's a little messy, sorry about that.
Well anyway, I'm trying to get into mentalism now as I find I can perform mentalism better than card or coin magic. I'm reading Corinda and it's unbelievable how great the material is even after all these years. The interviews with Fogel and Cladue Chandler were incredibly insightful and useful.
I'm very green at mentalism (and as a student, am also astoundingly poor), so I hope to learn more from people on the forums.
I should stop my rant here now and just say, thanks for having me here.
