That's why I asked..

Hopefully someone who has downloaded this can tell me if transferring from one PC to another is possible (I don't want to watch it on my PC at work.. just download to it and then take it home and watch it there)

I too have questions about the download. Do you have to be a member? It is asking for username and password. I love the way this looks, and definately want it.

I have downloaded the effect but I have never tried to transfer it to another one of my computers. My suggestion to you SlipperyPenguin is to take your computer into work one day and dowload it from there. If your planning on purchasing a new computer in the very near future then just wait around a little longer before you purchase it.

It perplexes me as to why Kevin Parker has not replied to you email after a month. I think it would serve you well to try and email him again. I have emailed him in the past and he has replied within a day.

Thanks Costas

I'll email him and find out as taking my PC to work is difficult (I have a very heavy full tower that would break my back to carry up three flights of stairs etc..)

Thanks..

Does anyone have Kevin's direct email address as I keep getting "invalid email adddress" when trying to use the "contact us" form on his website.

PM me if needs be.

Thanks

I don't have this effect, but if it uses the same security as many things do now - Expert Magic videos, for example - then you can play it only on the one PC. It takes a hardware snapshot of the system and 'meshes' with that. HOWEVER, if it downloads as, say, a .zip file, you should be able to download it on one PC, copy it on to a CD/Flash disk/whatever, take it to the other PC, copy it to there, THEN unzip/install it and everything will be fine - it'll connect to the Net (the second PC does need a Net connection) and combine your username/password/hardware profile at that point.

This may sound like a lame question, but I'm still going to ask it since Parker isn't showing us in his trailer HOW he gets the bottle. Can you simply receive a bottle and perform the trick? Are there, besides possible gimmicks, other movements that can arouse suspicion before you actually start with the trick, like unscrewing/opening the bottle?

I'm all for paying for a good effect, but I think the trailer has one problem: you can clearly see how the trick is done so there's no need to buy the effect.

I can see why Houchin went the route he did with the controversial Stigmata trailer.

Without revealing methods: Any bottle, you don't need a special one. Clear glass works best. You do have to have opened it at some stage as it should be empty.

You mean that you should ask a bottle with its contents from a stranger, and then empty it yourself?
They will appreciate that :P

It needs to be empty, but you can borrow the bottle and coin from someone in the right circumstances. Just wait until they've finished it before you ask for the bottle :) It will work with 90% of bottles but the type of bottle does dictate how amazing the effect is, glass bottles are particularly good, and the set up is done right in front of them, the routine you're given provides loads of adequate and natural misdirection. Ian69 I respectfully disagree with you that the method is painfully obvious, I had no idea until I got the trick how it was done. Also even if you can work out the method there's a little something extra to the gimmick that you might not work out from the video and this little extra makes a huge amount of difference to the illusion, particularly in real life. I've only done this a couple of times so far since getting it but both times the reaction to the penetration has been one of open mouthed awe and no one's had a clue. I even showed the penetration to a magician friend with a pint glass in the pub (please don't do this to laymen!) and he loved it and didn't get it either.

It is certainly a good and visual effect. Ian69 is right when he says that the video gives it a bit away, and that the thinking does the rest. Still, Bronz has got a point by stating that, even when you know how it's done, you are left with queries as to the right misdirection and gimmicks - although that should be no problem for creative minds among us.
Anyway, I really doubt whether I will see myself performing this. For me there are too many things that can go wrong, especially when tension plays a role :)
