I went to a magic store at Downtown Disney in Orlando, Fl. where one of the reps. demonstrated this trick. It's a cool looking trick where he makes a ball float around him and even through his fingers (to "show" no strings are attached). The thing was I wasn't really impressed until he did the same thing with a quarter I pulled out of my pocket. I didn't bother buying it because it was 45 bucks. For the past 10 years or so I have been learning card tricks so this one really baffled me because I never studied those types of tricks. Does anyone have anything to say about this trick (a how-to explination wouldn't be bad either .

Ah yes I know the one, actually it's not a trick it's magic.

I also saw this trick in the same place. I bought it and still wow the kids with it even now. Whilst the effect with the red ball is relatively simple, it is not quite as easy with the coin.

But as they say "it's magic".

ok how its done first you'll need a transdimesional generarter, $45 bucks sound a fair price to me.

then you need some interspacial dampening grease, fix the unit under your jacket and put some grease behind your left ear and your set.

we don't normaly do how too's but you seemed so interested that i felt i should let you in on it .

what you need are two items to do this trick both mentioned at some point in this forum and some basic knoledge and a lot of practise also a location and age code i'll pm you abut thease.

I've always used WD40 not grease, would this explain why the generator is a bit noisy and I have to talk very quickly and quite loud to disguise it?

wd40 has one of the best interspacial dampening properties on the market today unfortunatly its prone to tempral harmonics in the upper em band and thus caurses distortional harmonics in the generater.
a set of hisenburge compensaters strappped to your leg will help just dont go near an xray sorce or you will vapourise a three mile radius.

mandrake i never liked tricks where you have to harvest your bodily secreations long spindly nose ones and lumpy ear ones, never realy done any levi one myself is it worth the hassle???.

Sorry to be a bubble-burster here guys, but in my opinion, the Lite Flight is quite simply a back-of-the-drawer effect for me.

Bear in mind that the *exaggerated* description when you consider that what you actually get is a levitating, glowing gobstopper sized ball.

BUT... what I will say is that when ever I've performed this effect, it goes down a storm. It really does impress people, and is a great accompaniment to the D'Lite effect.

Although it's not my own personal cup of tea, it is something that stage performers will probably find to be a good effect. But my own style is up-close-and-personal, and I'm afraid this doesn't cut the mustard.

I've kind of learned over the years - if something sounds too good to be true - it usually is.

Uhh ... guys ... you see that "lol" face at the end of the "how-to" statement ... that part was a joke. I haven't asked someone how a trick is performed in years. Either I'd buy the trick and learn it from there or I'd figure it out on my own. Like I said most of the tricks I learned are card tricks which in most cases aren't that hard to figure out, assuming you know what to look for. Anyways the real input I wanted was is this a trick that can be performed on command or at least without too much setup, was the price fair, you know ... stuff like that.

1: The effect takes a fair setup, and therefore can't be performed totally impromptu

2: The effect is quite delicate to perform under certain lighting conditions, although it IS angle proof

3: The price is pretty fair, considering that the actual revelation of the setup and method outweighs the crummy gimmick itself - i.e. it's the principle of the thing that you pay for - and it should pave the way for you to create your own similar effects

$45 at an approximate exchange rate of £1 = $1.62 works out to roughly £28.00. The price shown on emagictricks of just under £20 seems to be a good price in comparison.

i think this trick is amazing my uncle invented it. Perry Maynard along with scott shippee. it has an awesome effect no matter who u present it to.
