For the love of GOD NEVER ever try to make flash paper. You could be killed or blow up the house. My supplier manufactures it in a very safe environment and has over 12 years experience. Making flash paper is very dangerous and use some nasty chemicals. I repeat again, NEVER attempt it. Leave it to the experts.

Some how I managed to sit through 2 years of A level in Chemistry and I would totally stay away from making flash products. I remember them doing an experiment along these lines at school (although not nearly as powerfull as the flash products you buy). One group got it wrong and ended up with no eye brows and they had safety goggles on!! The year that followed melted a thick wooden banch!! the school then stopped this experiment.

For various reasons I was not allowed to partake in any of the experiment but it was scary enough to watch. Do Not Try It Unless You Want To Shorten Your Life!!

This is quite simple...

Get the coin... cover it in play dough. Cut the play dough off with a knife round the edge of the coin... and hay presto you have a mold of a coin.

to use it... Put both sides of the mold back together and make a small hold in the mold on the edge of it and fill with what ever.

You can buy special stuuf to make the mold with like alginate... http://www.homecrafts.co.uk/html/produc ... 0&cat3=264

REMEMBER - it can in some cases be classed as illegal to recreate legal tender. I know most magic companies sell these items and I own many of them but just to cover my back I thought I should say it sometimes can be classed as illegal.

I believe there are some "special conditions" like 10% of it being different but not changing the queens face and for some educational things. I am not too clued up on the laws around it but I do know it is a very thin line between what you can and can't do and under what stiuation.

Just in case it hasn't been said enough already; don't try to make your own flash products as it is illegal without a license and you will end up with fewer fingers than you started with.
