[meaningless anecdote time] I did this on a couple of people and one of them said "y'what?? That says 'permanenet marker!' Crikey. Can you bring it back?" to which I had to sadly shake my head and hand it to them requesting them to help out. They freaked when they turned it over and the sig was back
