Guys,sorry to tell it,but this trick IS NOT as good as it looks...oh,and actually,it can't be a borrowed bottle.

You can do this with a borrowed bottle. He explains this in the video. After purchasing this, I also thought it wasnt that good. But every time I have performed this , people are blown away, and they do not have a clue how it is done. Now it is one of my favorites to perform.

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times. Who cares how simple a trick is? What are you expecting to download for your tenner, some sort of plans for a small, cheap, easy to build and use super magnolaser glass transmogrification device? It obviously fooled all the people who bought it before deciding that once they knew the method it wasn't worth doing. Ok so you might have to practice your performance of it !!! You might not be able to do it flawlessly straight away!!! I've bought it, practiced it and performed it. No one's even thought there's a gimmick involved, including a couple of other magicians I've done it to, and it's now one of my favourite tricks to perform.

Sorry for ranting, I'm not employed by Kevin Parker to plug his products but it does annoy me when people let their eyes be blinded by magicians's goggles. It's an illusion at the end of the day, you're creating the effect of something happening, not actually doing it.

Buy this and put in the effort. It'll serve you well.

In all seriousness, though, I agree with Bronz; it is a very strange phenomenon. It's most obvious and frequent with levitation effects - people, on finding out the method, angrily harrumphing, in essence, 'Bah! You don't really fly at all.'

Correction it most definitely can be a borrowed bottle but it's going to be hard to find the right kind of bottle randomly. While you can use several bottles to achieve this effect there are only a few that will make this effect look and sound at it’s absolute best.

But as I described in an earlier post, there are ways to make it seem like you picked up this bottle randomly. If you are at a large party you can easily plant your selected bottle somewhere, and when you’re about to do the trick you can give the illusion that you have picked up a random bottle to perform it. If you are doing a paid gig, there is nothing wrong with your spectators noticing that your using your own bottle as you can still hand it out for inspection and nothing will be discovered in a million years.

This effect is so visual that you will get a reaction whether you use a borrowed bottle or not. Bill Malone, a brilliant card magician (from my point of view) has stated that the ID is one of the most powerful card tricks you can perform! And as most of us would know, you cannot do it with a borrowed deck and furthermore it cannot even be inspected!

Recently bought this...
I was quite surprised when I found out the method for this trick because it is really quite simple and ingenious. Furthermore, with a bit of lateral thinking, I believe there is potential to combine it with other coin-in-bottle effects to create an even more impressive trick. I would give it 8/10. For the price (about £10) it is definitley worth downloading..

Can anyone give me the name of a good bottle I can get in the UK.

I've been and bought quite a few but have had problems with all of them. Some plastic ones seem OK but I really would like a glass one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have this trick, so this isn't tested, but I was in Aldi a couple of days ago and they had bottles of fruit juice there. I thought at the time, 'I bet those bottles would be perfect for Passin(g) Thr(o)u(gh). Hmm... maybe I should buy a few.' But I realised that this would mean I'd then have to buy Passin(g) Thr(o)u(gh) as well. And, as I recently visited NUMS - 'Just to have a quick look around' - and woke up disorientated and confused five minutes later, having unaccountably bought about six different items, I'm really, really trying to do the CUPS rehab thing at the moment.

i bought quarter in can a couple days ago and loved it, is it worth getting this effect as well since they are so similar? Has anyone effectively used the two effects in one routine?

Sorry I havn't been touch but have just been able to download the trick, Kevin was great contacted me four times to help me.

The trick looks absolute winner to me cant wait to try it out I'l let you all know the type of reactions I get when I do.

I'm still experimenting with this trick and like you slippery I have tried a few botlles which I think would work but would be interested in finding out which one you guys prefer using here in the UK.

Tried this trick out on my wife last night having experimented on a number of bottles before hand, I found the best bottle to be a mineral water bottle (buckfast abbey); anyways performed the trick and the expression on my wifes face as the coin penetrated the bottle was a picture and bear in mind my wife knows how most of my tricks and sleights work.....
so as I thought this trick really is a belter can't wait to try it out on friends when they come to my next BBQ.
