How to stop your own pulse?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

This is going to be one of my really ignorant questions here...

Are there really other ways of pulling this off other than the normal way?

Not asking for exposure, but I feel really stupid for never realizing that there could be other possible methods.

The method stated above is what I use and it works but what I'm wondering is how you would do it for the neck or does the same thing work. I'm not necessarily asking for exposure but the book I bought didn't mention the neck, where can I lear to stop the neck because that's the most impressive.

You can stop the pulse for the neck, but unfortunately you will need a dublicate magician to continue the show after you die! Please do not attempt to block the flow of blood to the head.

The method by Luke Jermay's (described on his DVD Skullduggery by Alakazam magic) is not very certain and might fail if you choose the wrong spectator. It might - though I doubt it - however work for the neck? I am just a bit over sensitive when it comes to all these things and from a medical point of view my concern migth not count as much!

Magic is slight of mind!

I'm sure Mr. Jermay has a method for the neck pulse thing...

i can't obviously say how it's done, but there's no need to be alarmed...well...you would be if i did it infront of you...but the method is absolutely 100% safe honestly...

...and Soren, you'll learn all about it if you buy that book i recommended...

magicdrummer - its from a book thats going to cost you £30 or so, and it's full of serious mentalist stuff...it's going to kinda be a waste of your money to be honest...stick to the Jermay stuff as its superb anyway, and just as impressive...it's all in the patter and performance surely...

Um, working in the medical field i learn a thing or two; cutting off circulation in the neck is one of the stupidest things to do. /stopping blood flow to the brain can kill you or cause brain damage.

But i guess it also depends on which one you plan on cutting off. There are two main ones in the neck that people check. I recommend not doing it to either.

I am sure it wont feel to good either. I dont plan on trying it.

But whatever, its not my neck.

Well, I'm studying Biology and psychology at University and I beleive that it isn't overly dangerous as long as you don't block the carotid artery, withing 3 minutes of blocking that your dead no acceptions lol, But That isn't to say that you cannot use a smaller artery in the neck which will inturn reduce blood flow enough so the pulse cannot be felt...I won't be using any methods like this anytime soon, I was looking for a safer method to accomplish this...An another hand, In my Evolutionary Psychology class we talked about Banacheck and Derren Brown...Our prof is a total skeptic but actually conifdes in Derren Brown...Too bad I didn't finish Pure Effect and practise it enough to try it on her...I was going to try a psychological force but didn't want to look like a moron in front of 300 people if it didn't work, and I'm also generally shy for some odd reason unless it's close up magic.

Made me giggle too :D The neck version is not dangerous at all, clever and perfectly safe.

:D ...I'm getting geared up for an evening out with a good mate of mine, she's come back from travelling, she's bringing a gaggle of women with her too

no doubt i'll be cowering in the corner by the end of the evening, battered and bruised...why do women have a habit of slapping your arm whenever you say something cheeky eh?

She's quite restrained then, I find a kick in the shin much more effective :)
