I hope this is not offensive, but i wondered what your ladies and gents thought about the Da Vinci code. Many of you youngsters may not know but the accusations are very old. That story goes back right through history. Again, i don't mean to offend, i just wondered what you all thought.

The Da Vinci Code is a novel. It's entirely a story made up by an author for money. It's designed to tweak people's fear of occult conspiracies - to make the author as much money as possible. That's all. It has no basis in fact or any wider reality. Even the "fact" on the first page about the Priory of Sion is.... you guessed it: made up!

So, please, let's not go around this loop again.

ok been reading this post with intrest as a active christian and one who knows what he belives is right for him

lets be honest it dont matter what you beleave if you dont force others to beleave the same i have seen alot of people getting pushed around (not on this forum but on others) due to there beleaifs and a minority saying god cant exist cos of X Y and Z , well i know he does (using term he as Jesus Said he was the father and fathers are normally men!) now someone else may say they know he doesnt exist, well thats there point of View, its worng in my oppinion but its theres to beleave,

in 1996 (i think it was) a group of scientists and mathmatitions and Space experts tried to prove that the big bang could cause life so a comeputer program was designed to work out the odds of life happening in a random collision of metiors or space objects, the odds were so bad that in theory it would have taken billions of collisons before life may have existed,

not long ago a lawer wrote a book about jesus, 101 proofs he didnt exist, well he tried to, he actually found that there is more proof jesus existed that julius Ceaser,

now if any one wants to know why i beleave then pm me and i will let you know,

(edit) in the 10 min it took to type that there have been 3 replys to the post so if it dont make sence sorry!)

IMHO Angels and Demons is much better - and equally inaccurate.

His next one's about the Freemasons, apparently. There's one misunderstood group of chaps.

Meh, Am I alone on the forums in my thought that the Da Vinci code was all a big load of overhyped tripe?

A lady thanked me in WH Smith once because I advised my friend not to buy it.

I sincerely hate that book! GRRRR!!!!

I think my grandad used to be a freemason but left for one reason or another. So now you know. :p
