There's nothing 'nancy' about rope magic at all

Once again it would appear that those who knock these classics think that magic consists of cards and coins.

Whilst I appreciate that you did say 'most', there is a lot of variety out there if you do you home work and search the web. It's true that some of what you will find isn't as exciting as others but that's true with everything.

I wish magicians wouldn't be so blinkered when it comes to certain genres of magic - just because 'E' doesn't push it, doesn't make it a dud!

What about all my defending of the sponge balls.... and my great routines! Lady of Mystery will tell ya! And Rope is not nancy at all when you got people like Burger using them . I wonder if the young mans view would differ if one of them "cool" magicans uses them

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Apologies to everyone who has defended sponges, ropes, cups & balls etc. You're all admired in my eyes even though I would have put money on Mandrake saying something earlier

Both Mandrake and myself could add to the 'I hate' post with some ageism related bits but I just can't be bothered as it's nearly time for my afternoon nap.

See a very old mage could have such items as an appearing zimmer frame.

Stupid illusions... "... And if you look through these binoculars you will clearly be able to see that the Eiffel Tower has dissappeared!"

Sponge rope... I am talking about rope made form sponge. There is no place for it in magic.

The cards in mentalism debate. Ok so I am more of a newbie than a master but surely the point is the effect. As long as it comes over as intended what is the problem? Surely it is down to the strength of the performer to diect his audience as appropriate, say "...right now let me show you something different..."

People and TV Shows that give away the farm - Particularly gimmicks - It seldom happens with sleights.

I hate Criss Angel.. he has dont nothing for magic

I hate piracy.. unless yout talking about the ones with eye patches and names like 'one eyed willie'!!

I hate the fact I havent mastered the classic palm false transfer yet
