A good old fashioned ACR.

Many different ways of doing, and to finish you can always P*** off into a wallet or somethin...

I might have a go at further than that from MWCC.

I suppose my favourite tricks are ones that get people playing along. For ages my favourite card trick has been Jumpin' Gemini, as it looks like I'm displaying great skill and I can make jokes along the way. The same goes for my favourite impromptu Gadabout Coins, as sometimes I get the spectator to hold 2 coins while I put one away - only for it to return to their hand before the climax.

I like to make a coin disappear and make it appear somewhere...

The reason I like it is because I only use a coin for the first little bit of the routine - the next 2 minutes the coin is in my pocket and I don't have anything in my hands - but they swear they see a coin

My favourite trick has got to be my ACR as it was the first 'real' trick I learnt and to start with I had a poor one, practice and thought and inspiration has given me a (in my opinion!) god ACR routine that people want to see again. The thing I like about it, is that there is never a perfect one-theres always phases you can swap in or out to make it better-think I'll still be perfecting it in 50 years time!!

It’s an old effect and not really a trick but I like to approach (Right situation I add) and ask if your spectator dropped an elastic band. When they say no, have it in the get ready for band up the nose. If you did not have their attention 9 time out of 10 you will now.

Maybe follow with a little band work and try Pinnacle by Russ Niedzwieki. This truly is very magical in an impossible way. Pinnacle is so well thought out. The handling takes a little practice but well worth the time. It beats CrazyMans because you use the spectators own property (Always stronger I find). I follow with some ring in string business (as I had the ring already) and finish with Interlace.

Interlace just blows people’s minds. It has to be one of my all time favourite effects. Jaws really do drop on this one. Impossible, Magical, Entertaining and above all reset in a matter of seconds. Brilliant…………..

Just my view on a few little gems

Okay, this will be my first post (aside from my introduction of course), so I have to make this one good.

My favorite tricks are as follows:

1. Crazy Man's Handcuffs - Simple and very impromptu and you can do this in the spectators hands. Very very powerful magic effect. I use this as an opener.

2. Ambitious Card Routine - again, very simple and practical and so Easy to do. (Daryl's performance with a little of Brad Christian's touch in the routine.) I end this one by using the Pop-up move.

3. Daley Show - this is the first trick ever that I learned/performed with sleights that's why I so love this trick, very strong too.

4. This and That - very simple. I have a different way of performing this one and the spectator freaks out whenever I reveal the cards after my performance.

5. Do as I Do - A great SWE. I learned this along with Daley Show. (Both from Penguin Magic)

7. Out of this World - a very good closer. It's amazing because it's the spec who deals the cards.

8. Joker's Wild - I love jokers! Cool trick. I get awesome reactions to this one.

9. Twisting the Aces - I do this before the Daley Show. It gets great reactions too.

10. Vanishing Deck - though this doesn't use sleights, it can make your spec gasp when you make the deck vanish. A very good trick to do as a closer. (since you've vanished the deck!)

Those are the Top 10 tricks I do most of the times.

Well last year when I was performing mentalism, you just couldn't beat "Body language" (truth & lie.. which ever name you want to call it).
No metter in what method I was using, or what were the settings the effect was basicaly the same, got great reactions, and left me all the room in the world for some good showmanship.

Now when I stopped performing regularly (joining the good old I.D.F doesn't leave you much room for performing =/) I went back to basics and do almost only card work, and now my favorit is my very own NACR (Naked Ambitious Card Routine). just as strong as the original ACR only ten times more visual, and kicks evey one that already knows the ACR righ in his a**.

These days im playing with coins more then anything else.
My favorite is a 2$ and 1$ coins wich visually change place in my hands.

Also im trying to build my own 3 fly routine, using really 3 real coins. Yet i have the 3 first apparitions very good and i have to make em all 3 vanish in order to complete that routine and this will probably be my favorite for years.

Im just not sure of wich approach ill use, the first part is pure sleight of hands so i was thinking i could use some pk work or anything wich will allow me to perform it without a jacket and stay impromptu.

Bill Malone's Twisting Aces to 1, 2, 3, 4 card thing. Can't remember the name.

My two card variation of the Biddle Trick. They saw their card, it turns over and changes to the other spec's card...you know the rest.

2 Card Monte without the Top Change. Ultra clean and easy.

I've also been loving Ed Marlo's ace location. Spec shuffles deck, i keep finding the aces and even show that they are not at the top or bottom.
Killer.

I just noticed this particular thread started in July 2007 I believe and has just been brought back from the dead. I wonder if the folks who are still here are still using the same effects/still find the effect their favourite and for the same reason?

Right now, I am performing Bob Cassidy's Chronologue a lot. It's bloody brilliant and I'm glad I took the time to produce my own version, i.e. with my own diary and handwriting. It goes down exceptionally well.

I have to say that that Run Rabbit Run has always been a winner for me.
