Wonderfully done and great news for 'magic' countrywide to get it simulcasted on ALL Channel4 channels!

The really, really interesting thing to me though is reading all of the speculation on the Twitter pages...

https://twitter.com/#search?q=%23derren ... prediction

As someone who is really keen on studying audience reaction/skepticism this kind of insight is priceless!

Everything from CGI to Camera Tricks through to broadcast delay speculated! :D Everyone seems 100% sure of the method, yet everyone is different!

Brilliant :D

And the majority of those who watch don't even have a clue they are watching magic. Most seem to believe his misdirection that it's all psychological. Derren is a true showman.

Watching it, I have to say it's darn well done. Indeed, given the presentation, I can only think of one practical way of doing it, and even then I'm not too sure if I'm right until the inevitable Youtube video appears...
Well done to Mr Brown in any case...

Hi, newbie here .

I sat watching the show intent on figuring out how he was going to do it but have been left gladly fooled. I'd also much rather speculate on the trick amongst magicians:lol:

Clearly the effect was managed by the fact that the balls were revealed after the numbers and babble about why they couldn't be revealed earlier you could see through from a mile off (a lay person probably wouldn't though).

As he's going to reveal how he did it, and because it would also be downright c*** (not the best), it's not going to be a flimsy tv special effects trick. I was really wary about misdirection in this trick and ended up watching the prediction balls for the whole thing - alas nothing. The appearance of the other camera also raises suspicion with me - why was it positioned where it was and why was the picture so odd, and apart from reveal its own existence, it did nothing - and clearly they had no intention of doing anything with it otherwise people would shouting if it flicked cameras.

Is it possible the whole set/some objects moved in some way but the room was set out to make this un-noticable?

I agree with Hunty. The ability of the Internet through social media to garner, almost instant, public reaction is incredible. How times have changed.

hey guys new member here!

just wanted to join in your discussion.

it all happened so fast, did he write the correct numbers down?
did he writting match the actuall balls he showed us?

and i agree, the line about not showing the numbers before the bbc was obviously part of the trick and lie.

why spoil the whole thing for yourself though? just enjoy it for what it was and let it be...

what does anyone gain by knowing how its done? can you sit back proudly, puffing out your chest saying "well, of course - it was all done by bees..."

and so it begins...

Good ol Derren, he always delivers.
I know how he did it, simple really....

He made a pact with the Devil and in return for his soul he gained the power to predict the future.

Bee's!? Pffff some people

Reverend it a forum....its typed.......so putting your fingers in your ears wont help............

I volunteer to shove my fingers in your eyes though.

It was fantastic but I have a theory on his juggling commercial shown afterwards.....................He was ot juggling them balls.....when they are in the air they look more than a little bit fake I think he is juggling two maybe white balls and with the use of technology they have imposed the image onto the video.............................But that is jsut a guess.
