I come over from Holland each year. With 3 Dutch guys.
We're booked to fly in to Liverpool Friday morning, my sister picks us up and Drives us to Blackpool.
Hotel is round the back of the Winter gardens.

Of the 5 or 6 times I've been to Blackpool now, I've never yet got to the Ruskin.

Shame on me

Steve

It does get rather crowded and busy in there!

Isn't it about now that we should get the first indication of who will be in the line up this year?

Quite right, hints are usually dropped at this time of year but as this one is FISM Europe, perhaps that doesn't apply?

Just sent off my form for this. I have never been to anything like this before but the local guys who go have told me lots of stories. Sounds like good fun!

Hopefully, I'll meet a couple of Talk Magic members there. :)

A little birdy tells me Santa is bringing me a ticket! woop woop.

So, where are people staying? Should try and get a few of us into the same place.

I am staying at the Lynbar Guesthouse which is in Vance Road. From looking at the map thats just a short walk from the Ruskin which I never got to this year but which I believe is the hub of the convention. I have booked myself in from Thursday evening so that I can catch the start of the FISM competition on Friday

I am looking forward to the preliminary list of performers which seems to be quite late coming this year.

If any one needs a recognition symbol, please bear in mind that we still have some Talkmagic lapel badges/pins available  . I'm out of stock but I believe that nice young Mr.Bananafish may have a few....

Anywho, The Ruskin is a madcap frantically overcrowded place but it's probably the best bet for meeting up as the Convention day is usualy too full of 'must-see and do' stuff and inevitably there isn't much free time.

Simon,
If you bring some pins along I'll have one off you.
Cheers

Since you ask ( ) the absolute must have item yes, the TalkMagic badges look like that!

The TM logo on black background is proudly displayed on a circular badge of approx 7/8" / 23mm diameter. The price is a remarkably affordable £4.50 each, two for £9.00 and so on, including postage, even overseas! Payment is by by PayPal, PM Bananafish for details and how to pay.

This offer is strictly limited to the remaining 30 or so, get your orders in as quickly as possible before all the stock is sold!

Sales at Blackpool would be slightly cheaper as there's no P&P - £4.00 each.

£4?! FOUR QUID?!!!!!?
I could buy, like, a whole pint for that!
Or I could wear one, get recognised more, and get more people to buy me pints after seeing a decreasingly amazing display of contact juggling. Hmmm

After a few PMs pointing out that this thread had gone off topic, I've done a bit of editing so on we go!
