You're telling us that there's a 'best' of the tory world??

Really??

They had eighteen years to show it last time, and all I remember of it is the way they royally screwed the region in which I grew up.

What they did to the North East and other industrial areas was horrific.

Sorry to bring out a soapbox - it's most unlike me - but the suggestion that the tories will ever represent anyone other than themselves and their big business chums really sticks in my craw.

Oh, they'll definitely ditch them. So will Labour. They'll call a snap election in the Autumn before they have a chance to become unpopular.

Well i may be young and naive like the rest, but i voted for the Tories, and i stand by my decision.

Hell, im like the only person out of all of my friends who did so, Lib Dems would most definitely benefit me as a student, hell, Conservatives do nothing for me, but i had and still have the opinion that they will sort out the mess we are inbetter than the other parties.

I also voted for them because i disagree strongly with joining the euro, and several of the lib dems other main policies. Opposed to Conservatives, who i agree with most of their main policies compared to the ones i disagree with.

What does it matter though, none of them ever stand by anything they ever propose in the first place.

Now the real dealing starts. I wonder if the Green Party are about to make parliamentary history and do the double? Not only do they get their first MP elected to the House of Commons, they get straight into power too. :D

Just in via e-mail:
The Nuclear Physics Department of the University of Westminster has
discovered the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element,
Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy
neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of
312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are
surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.
Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be
detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into
contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would
normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to
complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2 - 6 years. It does not decay,
but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the
assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact,
Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each
re-organization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming
isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists
to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration.

This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an
element that radiates just as little energy as Governmentium since it has
half as many peons but twice as many morons.

And the Tories have reacted to the news of Brown's resignation by offering Clegg a referendum on proportional representation.

Looks like they're getting scared and desperate. :)

I like the sound of politicians getting scared, with any luck they might be scared enough to actually do something of real benefit for us all.....
