ffs, you've been given enough quality information and advice here, if you can't figure it out now, then Tom, I'm sorry you never will!
We can't hold your hand and walk in with you!

If you can't figure out what to say from this entire thread how the hell are you going to approach people, introduce yourself and perform for them!

Impossible is nothing, if you only believe!

I don't really think people can tell you exactly what to say, just go in, have a friendly chat with the manager and see if they'd be interested in having a magician perform. Be friendly and be polite and you'll be fine.

Ok, but if I offend them because I didn't have a script, and one of the managers has me killed because of that, let it be on your heads!

lol - if the manager is the type that would kill someone then perhaps you picked the wrong place.. move on to the next manager. Its a bit like going for job interviews. the first few interviews are a bit frightening but you soon get in the swing of it, then you start to enjoy them because you have already anticipated the sort of questions/comments they will make.

What do I say?

Well I wouldn't lead with that but basically, yes.

Just man up and do it!

Tom needs to have a script of some kind, in order to keep his confidence levels up. :)

You're supposed to be a mentalist. Just walk into the bloody place and deal with it.

This is what I said on Saturday. We have been around the houses a hundred times, and here we are again.

its not any of our responsibility to convince or talk you into anything tom...people have given you their opinions and advice...

its now your responsibility to take things forward, use that massive intellect you tell us about and apply it...or you could do what us regular dumb-arses do, and thank people for helping, then make a list of the suggestions you've been given for free (yet again)...

and then go away and consider it all, talking it over with your friends and career advisor types at uni...

or, you could come up with excuses instead...

challenge your own preconceived notions and habits - and maybe realise that not changing means everything stays the same...
