Loved tonights show. Sooo glad Morgan and West got through, well done guys :) . I thought all the acts were great this time. That first illusion by the French duo was fantastic :)

Cheese and rice M&W seem to be getting a hard time from people on facebook for it.

I watched it on ITV1 then turned over to ITV1+1 to watch it again (it's not like there's anything else interesting on on a Saturday night!) just to see if I'm any more the wiser second time around. Nick Einhorn baffled me even more the 2nd time.

I would have preferred to see Cubic Act go through over Morgan & West though but that's just personal preference as I found their act far more engaging.

And just imagine how jealous they must be as they realise that the members here know how everything was done on the show tonight....... ;-)

that was the best show of the series.

Cube effects took something that's often used as a throw away , and elevated it to high art.. simply wonderfull. the best choreographed Ilusion act Ive seen in years.
It reminded me of Marco Tempest in a way. Sureal, yet beautifull...

Nicks chair test for want of a better word, was sublime.

Mike Vincents routine ...sensational... I was following the moves up to a point, then decided to just sit back and enjoy the effect.

morgan & west.. super.Though lads.... ive had a couple of glasses of wine, and need to watch it again.

Nail gun.. love the routine. a great closer to a great show.

      My oppinion:

Although I much rather see a acts that use pure sleight of hand like Michael Vincent and I generally don't like stage acts I must say that French act were fantastic.Unbeleivable although I was expecting the box to be empty as a climax. They really should go to Vegas.I think this is an example of why the show should be based on impressing P&T rather than fooling them. That would keep us magicians of their backs anyways.

Nick Einhorn I liked.Although It was a bit drawn out and I thought the presentation was too elaborate(If that's the word) for the effect itself.Still very good and I do love Nick's style of performance. He seems extremely polite and humble.

Michael Vincent is the type of act I love to see.All sleight of hand, perfectly executed while done graciously. My only gripe is that he must have known it wasn't going to fool him although I'd say he was there for TV time.Shame really but that goes against my previous point anyways as he certainly did impress them.It was a wonderful routine and I'd like to see more of his kind on the show.

Final act.Well I've seen M&W's videos from being posted and I must say they are absolutly brilliant. The routine tonight although I wouldn't say it was their greatest I will say that the presentation and gags were excellent. The deck switch thing was strange.I thought that it was done to dupe P&T but then they said it simply just did not happen.I think P&T thought that it was a dupe too when they were told a deck switch was not used. It's very strange but I think their characters alone(Forget tricks) deserve to be in Vegas.I think they're highly original and their execution is always spot on.

Great show overall.Probably the best so far

Cubic Act and MV were at the show I attended (you could even see me in the audience in a couple of shots.. well, the back of my P&T T-Shirt anyway!).

Cubic Act were the last act to be recorded on the day and, bearing in mind the audience had sat through two-plus hours of magic by that point, got a fantastic reception. Would love to have seen them go through... Likewise wth MV. I attended a lecture of his a couple of weeks before the show and saw that routine performed literally inches from my face..... and everything flew right by me.

By far the best show of the current run......

Just read this tweet on Twitter.

Penn & Teller: Fool Us would be a gazillion times better if they told us how it was done. And ruin a magician's career in the process.

Possibly the only intelligent "they should tell us how it's done" tweet out there. At least that's how I'm reading it. :)

Having re-watched this on itv+1 (sad?) I am still loving this show the best - I really liked the meal thing, and like Penn am fooled as to how each of the names etc got into the envelopes ... I have SEVERAL ideas and think that the moethod (or a VERY similar method) may be in a certain Berglass book and reminds me of a trick I had AGES ago (and saw at a convention); The Ultimate Chair Test Routine by Luca Volpe and Titanas.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd love to know if I'm right or not :P (Feel free to PM to avoid exposure and I'll gladly throw my ideas out first to prove I'm not begging for answers - As I've said, I know how I'd have done it, but the routine wouldnt have been as drawn out - NOT a critisism btw)

Cube routine STILL amazing, Mr Vincent was FLAWLESS but I do agree with the 2nd time on Tv thing a little :/, The victorian guys I really liked their patter and style, but I swear I saw a switch / drop too ... ITV player might crash by the amount of times I'm gonna watch - and I really like the idea of Johnathon getting his own card to keep :D

All the best to the guys going to vegas, its gonna be awesome to see an American Audience's reaction to old school british folk.

      Dan

Oh, and GAZZO ON NEXT WEEKS SHOW !!! YAY !!!

It looked more like a l*** to me - which might mean that West's comments afterwards would still hold true.... to a certain extent anyway!

Great to see Morgan & West get through - I felt the act hadn't edited down well though. Fairly sure it wasn't a two-person code, too. Or a single method. :D

      Just saw the above.

"Some of them weren't even amateurs." Where does it say they're supposed to be amateurs?

The thrust of the article seems to be that people will probably only enjoy the show if they like magic!

      Teller's just tweeted this:

@MrTeller Yes, Morgan and West did one fakey move that looked like a deck switch. It wasn't, nor was it their main method, as we learned later.
