Mr Lewis, I'm not quite sure why you continue to add to this thread? Unless of course your intention in simply to provoke other people by introducing personal bias. I fear this thread has only a short way to run before the plug is sensibly pulled.
Hmm... and as for magic being an ancient an honourable art... well, yes, I suppose it can be... along with just about every other ancient and honourable art and profession one can think off. Magic should be, and is, strong enough to spawn and cope with many different offshoots, practices and performance styles. One style need not be compared and measured against another. Audiences differ. People who go and enjoy a night at Billy Smart's Circus aren't going to rush to buy tickets for the'Circus of Horrors'... and vice versa.
Oh, and your last withering comment about the 'Scottish lower working classes' was bang out of order on a forum like this and a good indication of why people shouldn't post at quarter to four in the morning I guess.
