Use a one-way force deck.

I'm serious!

Oh God! I've just thought of a REALLY bad solution to the "Double Prediction Mechanism Trouble" thread in the R&D area!

Mahoney - even a Svengali wouldn't work, because the spectator CAN stop on a card that isn't a force card.

Yeah, now I'm dying to get in there.
BTW, a svengali might work. If the last card they deal down is short, then they turn it over, if not, then they turn over the next card on the deck.

No no no hehe! :D They don't know if the card they stopped at is the one still on top of the deck or the one they last delt! You just have to keep track of whether they deal an odd or even amount of cards. Simple

This is almost impossible to film on video on my own, but I think in a real performance can be a real miracle. I would perform this with a suggestion/hypnotic type presentation. It is my own creation (it's probably been done before by someone, but I'm not aware of it).
Enjoy! (You'll all figure it out, there's a few mistakes, but in real performance, there would be no heat on your hands)

There is a cool trick like this in Daryl's Car Revelaions Vol. 1. I can't remember what it is called, but you get the spec to cut off cards from the deck, then you ask them to count them. Then you count down that amount and you find there chosen card!

Also "Knock 'em Dead", for a similar, and amazing self working effect.
