How to stop your own pulse?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

It sounds like someone has scanned the book in and is illegally selling their own multiple copies. If you buy it, you're receiving stolen goods.

People who sell ripped off magic are scum, ditto the buyers.

EDIT: Looking at the emagicmarket site, these ebooks look like they contain a lot of stuff from other sources like subliminalpersuasion, etc. It smells fishy to me. Anyone care to comment?

I have just got my hands on Paul Zenon street magic and it has a pulse stop trick on there. I love this effect. It is kind of impromptu if u carry a little something around with you.

Glad you got your hands on it  Don't pass up the rest of the book though, there's some pretty good stuff in there that I'm sure you would like... (depending on your experience of course!)

Just thought I share this quick story with you guys. Its somewhat off topic but also kind of on topic.

Anyways...

I had a doctors appointment the other day and before the appointment I had an idea. When I got to the appointment the nurse did their normal routine. Check weight, check reflexes, check pulse, blood pressure, ask questions ect. So as you have probably already guessed when she went to check my pusle I stopped it before she could check. She was really quiet and she felt around my wrist for a while and seemed to be quite shocked. Casually I said, "oh sorry, I have never got a good pulse in that arm, just use the other". She looked at me funny but complied. She quickly found my pulse in the other arm and began counting. This time I faded it out until it finally stopped. At this point she was really nervous. She asked me if I was okay and if I ever had problems like before. I just smiled and said that I could slow my pulse, or stop it on command. The only thing she replied with is "how am I supposed to get your pulse". I assured her that she could now get my pulse. I let her take it normaly and she left the room and I waited for the doctor to come in. She must have told the doctor about this because one of the first things he said when he entered was "so i hear you can control and even stop your pulse". I just smiled. He said he wanted to see it but I told him I cant do it repeatidly. He really wanted to witness it but I left him in suspense. I thought this would actually have more of an effect than him actually seeing it for himself because when the nurse talked about it, she was probably all freaked out and it probably left him wondering.

...I wonder if they will remember next time I goto the doctors :D
