The Classic Pass

Postby fireshower » Jul 8th, '06, 06:48

Hey guys,

I know that I'm quite new to the forums, so any and all further advice on my pass would be greatly appreciated...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0WhO-S4dUE

At this point, I'm not quite sure what direction I should be going in...

I dont THINK it's performable yet, perhaps I should make it faster.

Oh, and, of course, anyone who might want tips from me (I'm not sure why you'd want them) just feel free to drop me a message, I don't bite.

[EDIT] On another forum, someone told me that my pass was way too tense, so here's my relaxed pass. Speed is compromised, but I think it looks much more natural than before.

Great job. I couldn't spot a thing. I actually think this is ready for performance. The pass also isn't a move that should be rushed. I mean it should be fast, but as they say, "Haste makes Waste." So sometimes, slowing it down might be the answer. But in your case I think you've got it down pat.

Thanks,
Dominick

passes don't need to invisible, they're not designed to be done in plain sight, well mine arn't, i just do really sloppy ones while people arn't looking

Hey

Man that it bl**dy good. Great work. Only one small suggestion would be to seem less 'twitchy' (for want of a better work), because you seem to fiddle with the pack unnecessarily, which draws attention to your hands. And that’s not what you really want, because everyone makes mistakes - (sods law).

But still awesome job, really well done :D :D :D :D

Keep up the good work.

O and its certainaly performable

Hmmm, it seems like most of you like my pass, perhaps I'll release some sort of lecture video sometime soon if that would be helpful. It wouldn't go over absolute basics or anything.

If there's demand for it, I'll make one, it doesn't take too long at all.

And yes, I do know some other tricks which I might show some other time.

errr...I might need some help from someone more experienced here

Am I allowed to teach someone the pass? I mean it's a very basic move which many magicians know, similar to the DL.

But there is a strict no sharing secrets policy, so I'm not sure what I can do in this situation.

You're not really allowed to make tutorials...I mean...There's a place in the restricted area where you can make tutorials, but unfortunately, we are not in the restricted area. In other words, no :D

Oh...darn,

I had this pass lecture vid that I made a couple days ago for my friends which does not reveal at all how to do the pass but does give helpful hints here and there concerning how to hide the pass, etc.

In other words, if you don't know what a pass is, it wont really help.

But I suppose it's still off limits at least in this area.

By the way guys, I added a more relaxed pass due to a couple more experienced people telling me to be less stiff, check it out.

In that case, I can't quite say if it is against the rules. Perhaps one of the mods could help us out?

Thanks,
