Well when you start creating we'll see how your attitude changes. I've no gripe with performing it for yourself but when it comes to performing it for other people... and yes, I see it as being unethical but maybe that's just me, either way I'm not going to be drawn in to another argument, I've said my piece and quite frankly I'm tired so in the words of the Dragon's, "I'm out".

I actually do, I make my living creating, I'm a writer. And I've seen my work borrowed from writers that know my work and I've seen my work plaguerized. It's not the same thing. Nor is taking a trick without buy a dvd to perform for people on here and there and taking a trick that isnt for sale from someone elses routine and/or claiming it as original. I am not advocating the latter. Just saying I don't see where some people get off putting others down or acting like they are so morally rightous for buying a trick they could have easily figured out. Or, god forbid, encouraging others to try to figure a trick out before buying it.

*back in*

I too am a writer, but magic and writing are completely different things when it comes to things like this. But I was referring to magic. If you read what I put (God forbid ) I was never against working it out beforehand, rather that if you do so and want to perform it I think that you should show your respect to the creator and pay him for his work and time.

Okay? NOW in the hope that I have clarified my point I am out and off to bed.

lol, I was about to put my review up here, but I see someone beat me to it a LONG time ago. Sorry, I'm a n00b.

Anyway, I couldn't agree with you more. You really can visually SEE the coin go into the can, it looks so clean! I reccomend this as well. :)

i own this DVD, and i agree with most people... it is BRILLIANT!

while i, like i imagine many people, had an "inkling" re how it was done, the fact is, my presentation is far better WITH the DVD than without it because Wayne Houchin's handling is just so clever, so well thought through, his advice and tips are great value.

this is not the first time, and no doubt will not be the last time, that the "moral" issue of intellectual property ownership, "guessing" a trick's handling vs buying the information etc comes up. it is a tough one. there is nothing quite like it. earlier comments in this thread, such as "it's like a kid learning a song off the radio instead of buying the sheet music" are not well thought through. compare primary areas of potential revenue for the artist who wrote the song vs the artist who created the effect, as one simple example of why the comparison doesn't work. i own about a dozen Patents and several Trademarks so i am somewhat qualified to discuss this issue.

so, to those of you who are constantly frustrated by people saying "ha... i dont need to buy it because i worked it out from the preview..."
~ lighten up, most likely they haven't worked out anything, and if they have worked out "something" you can rest assured it wont be everything and so "your" handling will be far better than "their's".

and to those of you who think it is A-OK to try and guess a trick without paying for it, perform a half A$$ version of it and then have 2/3's of the spectators guess what you gleaned having watched the preview video 100 times because your handling was so poor... we are allowed to be annoyed with you because we dont mind paying a fair price for someone's hard work on the basis that if they dont make money they will stop inventing... and then we (and you) will be stuck performing whatever "we" can come up with...

You can practice and practice and practice with an empty can at first, to smoothen your moves etc but you will have to waste a few cans of soda at the end. I tried it so many times with my first empty can that the ring fell off due to metal fatigue.

Having Purchased this trick i have to say im happy with it. The only thing that i dint like was Angel himself as i think he comes across as a stoner but thats just my opinion. As far as the trick was concered it was well worth the money.

Did you think that because Criss Angel and Wayne Houchin are both like "hey dude whats up, good to see you again" They're just two friends greeting each other or did you think that because he wears a lot of jewellery and has long hair like a hippy?

I think it could be the fact that he talks quite slowly and his eyes always seem half closed.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...
