Were you in a game or doing magic? And, yes, you sound really nice. I assume you were doing magic since as a cardsharp you wouldn't want the others to know about your skills. That's a mistake magicians often make in that there is a tendency to want to show off. While that is fun and all, you just can't do that on the green if you're a road hustler.

What kind of deck do you like? I love red Bees. Bees are great for Seconds because there is no white border and I use red because it compliments my fire engine red nail polish, after all accessorizing is important for a girl. Interestingly enough, the nail polish is also a way to ever so slightly get an additional edge in helping my fingers blend with the backs of the cards for when I do tiny finger movements for whatever I am trying to do. A small edge, granted, but an edge none-the-less and I wouldn't get that with blue Bees. Unless of course my nail polish was blue but that is so last year (that's a joke).

Amanda Angeli

I was in a game... Im only 11 so noone really cared. My friend just thought it was hilarious.

Feeling Pink and Fluffy

Postby Amanda Angeli » Jun 27th, '07, 03:44

Good Night Lady of Mystery,

So, chica, I was just sitting here feeling pink and fluffy after a wonderful day of magic practice and design as well as meeting many new and wonderful people on this board. Oh how English magic is so beautiful.

Soon, darkness will fall and I'll snuggle my teddy bear Fluffer and drift off into the night. First, a bit of light reading and some cardsharping practice, I always do that before I go to bed. Tonight, my book of choice is Mind, Myth, and Magick by T.A. Waters. It's a book about Mentalism for those of you who don't know and I love it so. As for cards, I'll practice my Walter Scott 2nd Deal. He had a marvelous style and there's a super book on him called The Phantom of the Card Table by Eddie McGuire.

Sweet dreams all.

Love,

Amanda Angeli

Hello Lady of Mystery,

Goodness, how many tree hugging hippy magicians can there be here?

Love,

Amanda Angeli

I would just like to make it clear that although when I was a teenager I had long hair I am by no means a tree hugging hippy and will set fire anyone who says otherwise.

I doubt this very much, no offense guys. I grin at the thought of you pair in a bar bursting children's balloons and shouting at people to be quiet while the news is on then talk about the good ol days whenever people had respect.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

Not too much Pink and Fluffyness going on here lately :(

Well I'm very pink and fluffy as I might have just got myself my first private illustrating job, got to put together a portfolio for the client and see what they think. Fingers crossed.

I wish you good luck!

I am getting my act together with the generous help from some PMs, and this place will be pink and fluffy again in no time!

I recently got to watch a movie (HP5, which was a bit of a let down) with my friends after not having seen them for five weeks. It was hectic, but everything worked out in the end. P'nF.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

Ah, but I went to see OotP last night and really enjoyed it! It made me feel PnF purely because I'd been to an actual cinema, eaten actual cinema popcorn, and watched an actual good movie.

It made a change to pouring over magic books by candlelight. No, I went to the cinema and watched a movie about other people pouring over magic books by candlelight. Bit of a bus-man's holiday, but hey - it's my thing.
