Poor rooms, the landlord wasn't very nice. Not that cheap. Overall, I wouldnt reccomend it. Unless you are lucky enough to have him fall asleep in the bar.
Beano - there will be a large and vocal contingent from the Darlington Magic Circle in and around The Richmond Hotel. Just a couple of streets away. I can't comment on the quality as I've never stayed there myself - usual haunts have huge lobbies and people peeling your grapes They do have guest parking which is a big plus point.
Still waiting on mine, ordered them at Blackpool this year. Weird, unless my mum is saving them for my birthday present, who knows? Will let you know after my birthday....in October.
Its not the shows you want to be worrying about, unless they do the Magical X-Factor again, in which case bring your sleeping bags.
Its the dealers mart you want to save your money for, I'm putting away £15 a week away to go towards it, i figure 15 x 52 = ......enough to fulfill my C.U.P.S. suffering.
No reason why not at all. I'm told that the extra VIP lectures were excellent last time (a few non-VIP ticket holders managed to blag their way in as well!) and would certainly be easier to watch and follow than those in the Spanish Hall or the Pavilion. It's only once a year and it's the World's biggest so not a time for penny pinching. Just make sure you take huuuuuge wads of cash to buy all those 'must have's from the Dealers and the ever-so-important-and-necessary 'socialising' afterwards !
I can't wait and while I spend small fortunes on Magical adventures I would rather hope this one will end up costing less than the £780 (£15 x 52) Crozboz will be taking!
I'll be on Row B of the Circle - Could have had the stalls but have always preffered the circle for theatre.
I think there are less than 100 Gold Tickets left, so no idea how many of the VIP tickets and the like.
Ended up with pretty bad seats last time, maybe because we booked pretty late, but with any luck, since we ordered at this years show we may be able to see the right half of the stage this time.
When I went this year, I had tickets right at the top and you could hardly see anything! ( I sat next to Max Somerset on the Saturday, he gave me a malteser!) On the saturday, and I'm sure some people would have seen the same, we actualy saw how a trick was done because we were so high up! I cant remember what one it was but it was very near the end - could have been the last act, and it was their finale peice when they vanished a group of about 10 people.
