The thought behind this gimmick and routine is where the true value lies and I'd personally place more value in this, then in the engineering.

By engineering I didnt just mean the "thing" I kind of meant overall x

I'm undecided on the additional 'gimmick' at the present time as the psychology of the routine is strong without one.

People do believe that they feel the coin move inside their clasped hands and my thought is that using the gimmick to make the coin actually move or even jump in the specs hands may actually weaken the effect. As I say, I'm undecided at the moment.

From the times watching David perform and the few times perfroming it myself, no one suspects that a gimmick is in play to move the coin. My concern is that introducing a gimmick may automatically move people towards having that suspicion.

Why fix what isn't broken?

It doesnt need to actually move though! thats the beauty of it!

You just tell it did and they beliver you! You dont need to use the other thing!

I totally agree that it is not needed. If you choose to though it can be really spooky for the spectator and I suggest only making the slightest "affect" with the gimmick.

Mine arrived yesterday and I watched the DVD and had it sussed within 15 minutes.

Performed it tonight in the pub for a mate and it went like a dream. His reactions were fantastic and way better than anything I've seen in the demo vids.

My mate chose the wrong coin and on the DVD David goes into what to do in this case so I thought, what the hell, and followed the script suggested and blow me if it didn't work spot on as David suggests and I haven't even got the extra gimmick. So two effects for the price of one.

I think I agree with Dat. If you don't need the extra gimmick to generate the 'move' the effect is just as good, plus you can perform it in T shirt, short sleeves, whatever, which makes the bend seem even more incredible.

I found the bend pretty easy to do with a 10p and the routining takes all the heat away. Awesome reactions when I finally revealed the bent 10p.

Brilliant, just brilliant and it will last a lifetime.

Its pretty dammed easy to do as scripted for one on one. My only slight nagging doubt is what will happen in a larger group but there's only one way to find out!

Well, as you already know I love Coinvexed, but I was out last night and performed it about 20 times, so I feel ready to do a full review on this now.

This is a tough one, as a working Pro and knowing I will use this so value for money is 10/10
As an amateur, I think it might be a bit on the pricy side, but each to their own.

The routine:-
In the most basic form, as you already know the trick if your reading this: A borrowed signed coin bends within the spectators hands.

The review:-
I have to admit, when I first bought this, I was in 2 minds, I was in "Blackpool buying fever" mode. I got home, looked at what I'd just bought, and after viewing the DVD, I saw a LOT of potential. David explains the effect completely, including the psycological thought processes, which help to sell the strength of the effect.
The DVD could be produced better in my opinion, but that really is a secondary issue, the most valuable part to me is the knowledge that David shares.

The gimmicks are sturdy and are hidden in plain sight during performance. David explains how to set up the Gimmick so its hidden, and also provides some extra gizmos so it can be adapted to use other coins should you be working abroad.


Overall:-
This is an absolutely beautiful and easy effect to perform, and the reactions that you will get from it are unbelievable.

I give this effect 0/10, purely because I dont want anyone else to buy it!!!!!!

If the spec chooses the wrong coin, just say

"I would like you to place a mental force field around that coin that you have choose! I need you to mentally protect it"!

I used that loads at the weekend and it works really nicely, the spec thinks he/she has had something more to do with the power behind it

It hasn't happened yet but I was going to say, "Ok which coin do you want?"
As in the dvd.

If they choose the wrong coin I would say "Right, so you will be able to keep & spend that coin as you wish & we'll try something with the other".

I actually think your's is better & would like to use it if you'd allow me.

When my mate chose the 2p, I decided to try what David explains on the DVD, i.e. whilst making several passes with my warmed up hands above and below his, I said 'grasp your hand really tight. Now can you feel the 2p moving?' and he did confirm that he could feel it moving, and that was without the extra gimmick, just the natural pulsation of blood in the veins of his hand as he was grasping his hands tightly.

I didn't dwell too long on the movement of the 2p but moved swiftly on to the 10p and the bend. The impact was sensational. I've rarely seen anyone look so completely stunned.

I'm just as impressed by the psychology behind the routining as I am by the gimmick.

I would definately recommend anyone to try out the script as given first, before writing your own, and play into the psychology of the moment.

To be fair pricing is actually cheap, if you were to produce this yourself or hire someone to make the gimmic or to make it yourself would run well over £85....

Hi Guys,

I came up with a presentation Idea last night on the fly and quite by accident. It may be something you want to try out.

After bending a few forks the client asked me if I could teach her to bend metal. I went into all the usual patter saying that it took a lot of concentration etc etc. I got her to sign a couple of coins and choose one. She held her coin on her open palm and I got her to concentrate. After a stupid amount of time (3-4 minutes) she thought nothing had happened until I told her to put it on the table and rock it back and forth on the flat surface. She discovered that it did indeed have a small bend in it that was not perceivable to the eye and she freaked. The reaction was incredible and it is a real strong point of Coinvexed that you can vary the bend. I will be exploring this a bit more myself and I would be interested to here about your results if you try this out.
