Ah yes, I missed that aspect didn't I? It would resemble an elderly guy I saw ages ago when video cameras were in their infancy, he was videoing a wedding with a huge camera on his shoulder and at the same time dragging a tartan fabric shopping trolley behind him with a 12 volt car battery in it. He really got in the way of the guests with that set up!

There is a guy on the forum you get access to (the place where PETS setup originated) who makes his own electronic device. Problem being you won't know about it until you buy the ET & access the forum. Even then you need to be cued up on electrics. I suggest doing what I did & read as much as possible, make a list of all effects written about, see if they first fit your style & whether you'd get the use out of it. For me this justified the price & setup agro. If you get enough bookings then it pays for itself really.

Its a bit funny ...... I got mine a few days ago. I paid for premium shipping as i cant not wait for this anymore. When i got that i took it to my bedroom and first activate it without havin it placed. I just seen its giving indication that its working. I thought i will try this in night so when i pick it to pack back in the box booom i got a shock. That unexpected shock was due to the static charge that was discharged using me.
Anyways in night i took it out and asked my girlfrind to just pull apart if anything goes wrong (lol dont laugh but i thought if it keep shocking me). And i activated and got touched by her and we both shouted aaaaaaa.
Its all about around 6 or 7 days ago and i did not dared to get anymore shock. Could anyone tell me that if i got charge how can i discharge myself without getting shock so that i can perform with this some other cool tricks.

Ooooh I have just discovered this little box of wonders over the past few days. If ever there was a device designed for me this has to be it.

When I was 15 I had a part time job and had a fairly bad accident. I grabbed a big armoured cable that had been dead for days but had unknowingly been made live. It messed me up pretty badly. Watch and phone were frazzled, I had a twitch down one side for a good few months, some internal damage aswell. I had twisted ankles and stuff aswell as it caused me to fall a fair distance.

For a while afterwards I had a couple of odd things happen (besides that damn twitch). I was unable to wear a watch as they never seemed to last very long :( also working as a checkout operator (it got me through school) a couple of them, for no reason whatsoever shut down, requiring them to be resetup by the manufacturer.

I'd like to think these things were just coincidences but it was always in the back of my mind that it could be some bizarre side effect to the shock, a few close friends and family were convinced it was.

I think I can feel these symptoms coming back on with a vengeance

I have just found a site selling it for $169 and I may well buy it after sleeping on it for a few hours :D

I used this today when me and my friends were waiting for the train to arrive. I told my friend to stand on one side of a metal door and i were on the other side of it. When i putted my hand on the door it started to sparkle and also the wall (made of metal) started to sparkle. My friends went crazy, and all the people around me was looking at me as if i was a psycho.

So, this thing don't just give you a little shock.. Sometimes your hands start shacking and i can really hear the sound of electric.. crazy thing.

Try to stand in a pool of water and have the ET-device on 'high' ...the sound will scare the hell out of you xD

Confused

Postby Fingersmith » Aug 12th, '08, 13:58

I got mine off a bidding....
But they never gave me any instructions on how to permanently install this device.
May I ask how it is done?
Or is this also something I can't ask

Sorry, we don't give out instructions - you need to get back to the person who supplied it and get them to send the intructions on to you - they're part of the product so should have been supplied without asking.

That's one of the drawbacks of buying like that, hope you manage to get them from him!

I'm thinking that rechargables, or lower cost AAs, might then be a possibility? On the other hand I might be (once again) talking a load of old cobbl, er, rubbish.... :?

Yes It is possible to wire it to your pockets. But it uses 2, 12 volt batteries. using AA will be.... very heavy. An AA is about 1.5Volts so it will take you about 16 of them in your pockets. I Think you would rather go with 2 3cm batteries than having about...264g of batteries in your pocket.

I still don't have this one, it seemed to me to be more of a novelty/prank effect than magic and the number of these being offered for sale second hand is quite high - perhaps the novelty wears off very quickly  .

Well it's not a trick, it more of an effect you need to add into your magic shows.
It makes people really believe...
It was also very helpful to me at this time.
I performed a coin magic to a few people on the streets.
one of them tried to grab my hands and got a hell of a shock lol
it made my coin magic so much easier to perform turning a down side up!
It really made him and his friends amazed :)

For anyone who owns this and has not yet done the permanent set-up, Woolworths are starting their closing down sale tomorrow. Last week I picked up a pair of items (one of which can be cut  ) which come with a tube of adhesive for £3. Thought this was a bargain at the time as having it done professionally could be quite expensive.
With the closing down sale they may be even cheaper.
Hope I have been vague enough not to have disclosed anything but not too much so the people who own ET don't know what I'm going on about :?
