Good luck explaining the trick cost to the bank manager

Finally cracked, clicked the paypal button and now wait ..... cracking my knuckles in anticipation. I've also made a promise .... this is the last trick I buy before Xmas. It's time I focussed on what I've got (and getting).

Well, I managed to last out the day yesterday, but finally caved (not that I took much caving ) this morning, and ordered this from Hocus Pocus today.

Got a great deal though - got their discounted member's price PLUS an extra 30% off, through a 24 hour promotion they have on today...came to just £38!!!!

Gotta be the bargain of the month, surely?

It's such a great gimmick, trouble is you'll ALWAYS have to have it on you because you'll be forever known as the coin bender. At least there's more than one of us in this City now. You can takes the reins for a while.

Glad I invested the money but I think now is the time it should come off the market .... let's not have lots of other people going for it. Can I avoid the added extra though? Strong willpower - that's my strength ....

Wow, this is a reputation maker. I did it a few times during a tennis tournament and people wandered up to me asking me to do it for them. I guess one has to be a bit diffident and not overdo the trick. One thing I found was that folks would come to me offering a 10p. I would bite at it and ask if it was a trick coin (ha ha) then get out a few of my coins to compare (you'll know what I'm getting at). I would, of course, then use their 10p. Point is though, one probably shouldn't do too many performances - especially when someone comes along as says 'can you do it for my friend?'.

Any thoughts?

Had my first "failure" last week.

School boy error - just quickly grabbed a black marker which turned out to be non- permenant and came off on my fingers. My spec looked at the bent coin (Now with no markings) and said "You just s****** my 10p!"

Personally, I would not perform it too often for the same group of people, as they could become extremely suspicious that you're only 'effecting' one coin all the time!

They may not figure out the technique, but they will become suspicious, and as soon as that happens you will lose all credibility of performing miracles. Some times the old saying, 'less is more' really is true!
