Rachel Stevens - Sweet Dreams My LA Ex (Just this song. Honestly...)

Booker T & The MG's - Green Onions (Fantastic background music, worth a look, and just under 3 minutes so good for a short routine of sorts.)

Yeah it's not amazing but it's good. Mr Beast is still my favourite.

I must concur. My top few songs change all the time but the Pistols are always at No. 1. As a kid, "Anarchy in the UK" changed everything for me. I never really liked The Clash; their image put me off.They seemed too "styled" somehow, as if they had a big marketing machine behind them. The Damned, they were real, as was my beloved Joy Division.

For me, the very "best" piece of music ever created by a human being has to be the fourth movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony. It's the product of a mind firing on fully all cylinders, and boy is it good! It makes my heart weep tears of pure joy.

The Pistols are great "therapy". I began to appreciate them only recently via the marvel of youtube and after seeing John Lydon on "The One Show" recently. I just couldn't stop youtubing more and more information about them.
They have even helped me with my magic as when I was on the brink of trying an effect out to someone or not, this little voice inside me said "go on Mick, take a risk!". I suspect the little voice had green spikey matted hair arf arf.
And "Holiday in the Sun" has to contain the best 4-note hook in music for my money.
I tried exploring the Clash after exhausting the Pistols but it hasn't really stuck with me.. maybe it's the political tag that makes them a bit dreary for me.

I found Pan's People's interpitation most amusing. I can imagine Joe Strummer getting very pee'd off and the producer of TOTP killing himself with laughter. It is a shame that they decided to never appear on TOTP. I understand their reasoning, but really those old TOTP appearances by bands like the Jam, Specials, Happy Mondays etc. are exhilerating pieces of history. The Clash on TOTP would have torn the house down. Man.

this may be sad coming from a 14 year old but my 1 favourite band and song is take it easy by the eagles

Almost tempted to post as a new thread but not sure if it has enuff substance to warrant that.. any Pistols fans have any thoughts about John Lydon's decision to advertise butter on telly? I don't like it at all. Dunno why really, I just don't.

I like show tunes, and some pretty heavy stuff. I like jazz and classical, I like all sorts of Hispanic music. So... There you have it.

I used to love AFI. Everything up to Art of Drowning was stellar. I saw them supporting Good Riddance when Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes had just come out, and despite being regularly zapped by dodgy wiring at the venue, they were tremendous.

Then something very strange happend when they left Nitro. They turned horribly bland and generic. It was truly tragic to watch.

I think the same thing happened to BoySetsFire around the same time. After the Eulogy and everything that preceeded it was goosebump-inducing loveliness delivered with a ten tonne sledgehammer. Then BoySetsFire kind of lost their fire...

incidentally, if you like AFI, I'd strongly recommend you check out Son of Sam if you haven't already - it's Samhain with Davey Havoc singing... It was seriously meant to be. Also, check out the Nerve Agents and the Freeze.
