Cataclysm used to be available at unearthly magic but their site is down. Not sure where else its available.

You can pick up trilogy at Alakazam.

When you get it from Alakazam you also get an excellent DVD discussing the effect. With the risk of stepping on other toes I strongly recommend Alakazam.

Magic is slight of mind!

Trickshop released a variation of Cataclysm, by Paul Sharp - call The Number 23 Enigma.

http://trickshop.com/23.html

It has an interesting premise.

I find something as simple as my variation of Do As I Do gets awesome reactions!Although i dont like carrying a 2nd deck around. Also, something else quite simple in the Muscle Pass gets people looking al over for string, magnets and wondering how!

James Brown's psychological deck vanish (done with short sleeves).

I've had people lifting up my shirt to see where the deck went...

It’s an old effect and not really a trick but I like to approach (Right situation I add) and ask if your spectator dropped an elastic band. When they say no, have it in the get ready for band up the nose. If you did not have their attention 9 time out of 10 you will now.

Maybe follow with a little band work and try Pinnacle by Russ Niedzwieki. This truly is very magical in an impossible way. I follow with some ring on string business (as I had the ring already) and finish with Interlace.

Interlace just blows people’s minds. It has to be one of my all time favourite effects. Jaws really do drop on this one. Impossible, Magical, Entertaining and above all reset in a matter of seconds. Brilliant…………..

Just my view on a few little gems

I agree that Do As I Do gets good reactions, I did it for my father-in-law, who sat there looking at me then said “Do that again!”.

One recently that has received some very good reactions for me has been Switch Craft.

The best reaction I’ve had has been from my Dad, when I got him to take a card, then asked him to think of it, and I took a picture of him thinking of the card with my mobile phone’s camera.

“What are you going to do,” he scoffed, “show me a photo of my card?”

When I did he was speechless for five seconds (a long time for my Dad!). “That’s impossible!”

A very gratifying reaction. :)

My best reactions always come from my simple tricks, Profs. Nightmare with some moves from Fiber Optics by Richard Sanders.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Out of this World - everytime, killer!

Have done this so many times people keep wanting to see it.

Biddle Trick - no idea why but EVERYONE loves it!

Invisible Palm/Travellers - people swear it's REAL magic.

Dear God, I hope not!

It was only an inch or so, and it stayed attached, but it definitely dropped.

Something else which produced a great audience response when I tried it out recently - Marc Paul's AAA Book Test. It works with almost any book which a spectator chooses (though I suggest he picks a "thickish" paperback) and you apparently don't look at the book at all.

The scorpion from outaw,

David stones cell.

sanctum 2

Zorans horror finger,

Card and deck under box,

Cataclysm,

Fith element (plug plug)

And lets be honest at the right time jim paces the web can be devestating. Try paul zennons idea with the wine glass. This and the horror finger cutter can actually be to strong and are only right place right time effects.
