This is seeming less like spam and more like a scam to me.
On what basis can you make this assumption from what has been posted?
I urge everyone to avoid giving personal or financial information to these people
Have they asked for such information off anyone?
If GMP turns out to be legit, then this shouldn't be a problem
Why not give them the benefit of doubt? Guilty until proven innocent?
This is for the protection of everyone
I'm sure that the intention is good but I'm also sure that those who this post is aimed at will have the expereince of knowing how to protect themselves.
I hope we're not coming across as aggressive
I read a lot of aggression in the way that some of the posts are worded and it's not just in this post. It seems to me that a good proportion of the posts made by people wanting our assistance are immediately treated with some contempt.
There's nothing at all wrong with being cautious about doing business with organisations and people but this can be done with politeness and courtesy.
Perhaps we could have a sticky for visitors to refer to and we could simply point them to this reference point if there is a lack of clarity? I'll offer to write one!
I'm not meaning to have a dig at anyone in particular but if you turned the table and read some of the responses from the posters perspective then perhaps you wouldn't be too impressed if you were in their shoes and were legitimate.
After all, we're in a people business ourselves where people skills count!
