I took those as a gag. They were too noticeable and jarring to be 'subliminal' in the true sense. So I assumed that mssrs Brown and Nyman were taking the proverbial.
However, as the whole lead up was a primer for the 'stuck' stunt, it might have added to the credibility for some of the viewers. Like a placebo effect?
