Aren't you a bloody genius! Well, if you have thought it through then why are you doing those silly bloody cuts and committing the dastardly sin of making that damn woman from Yorkshire right? Besides if you can't spread a deck of cards without exposing a few cards at the bottom then you need to stick to mentalism and leave card magic to the professionals.

I will concede that you did the rest of the trick very well.

The effect started with an ace production so in my opinion the deck must appear to be mixed.
If he started off by just removing the aces from the deck then no cuts necessary. But i think the production adds to the elegance of the routine.

In that case I don't know why he can't do some simple false shuffling instead of indulging in fancy suspicious false cuts. Mind you he would probably shuffle them with his feet so ignore what I just said.

Naturally, I agree with Colster! :)

And yes, Mark I probably could shuffle the deck with my feet :P

You are the only person I know that can palm coins with his feet so it wouldn't surprise me.

Re the first Mc D's aces vid - It's too good, so it doesn't work at all for me - my advice would be loose the gaff cards and spend some time learning how to do better false cuts and real sleight of hand so you can perform magic with any pack of cards.

What a load of old hooey! You can't possibly duplicate the effect of MacDonald/Hofzinser's Aces with regular cards in remotely the same way. There is no way you can get the same effect with regular cards.

And Paul CAN do sleight of hand. He can probably do better sleight of hand with cards than you can. However he has the sense to know that methods are but a means to an end. It is actually foolish to use skill beyond the bounds of necessity. I don't like his silly false cuts but the rest of the presentation is superb.

It should be. Paul stole it from the best. He is a remarkably good thief and I commend him for it. Which reminds me. Where is Henry's password?

K what is it with you people in here? Is it a British thing? Since I've joined this forum 2 different people have decided to attack my performances here. Sure, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but both of these individuals jumped to conclusions and shot their mouths off without thinking first. Must be a British thing, cuz I've never noticed that on any OTHER forum.

Mark is correct. I DO know sleight of hand and can handle myself around a pack of playing cards. (Although I seldom admit it because I am a mentalist.)

I CAN perform real card tricks and I know many ace assemblies but simply did not perform those on that particular video. I CHOSE to perform McDonald's Aces. Mark is ALSO correct that the impact of THAT particular Ace Assembly can not be duplicated without the gaffed cards.

Methinks, perhaps, that you, Tommy Magic, might wish to delve a little more deeply into your sleight of hand books to reaquaint yourself with the 'real' sleights that I have used in the video.

Dearie me! I am astonished to see the way Paul has been sticking up for himself over the last few weeks. In the past he would merely whimper, sulk and run away and hide. I am afraid now that he has become the Vice President of the Rotten Habit club,---sorry, I meant the Hat and Rabbit Club in Toronto he has become far more assertive. Quite right too. Canadian politeness is the most boring thing on earth.

I always told Paul that he should spend some time with rude and obnoxious Brits like myself in order to toughen himself up a bit. Talk Magic is doing him a world of good.

Of course he has been in a foul mood lately since Brookenfuehrer and his minions removed his foot avatar from the magic cafe. There is nothing that can provoke Paul more than anything that offends his feet.

As for him saying that on no other forum have people been rude ignore him completely. On the forum that I moderate people are rude all the time and make this place look like a haven of tranquility in comparison. Paul is a member there and people have indeed said rude things about him and up to now he has merely sulked and said nothing.

He is now baring his teeth a little and I am delighted to see it.

Paul. Put up your Q and A video and watch them really tear you to pieces!
It is part of the British way of life. It is inbred in us to be rude and horrible and is part of our glorious heritage!

When Paul first came to England he imagined that we would be like they are in the "Upstairs, downstairs" TV show. Full of polite people, butlers and suchlike just as in the movies. Did HE get a shock!!!!!!

Paul is using real sleight of hand! just because an effect involves gaffed cards it does not always mean a walk down easy street, the best in the business use gaffs. Tommy you should check out guy hollingworths quartet, it might change your mind.
