It's on the "ITV Player". Which is like a completely appalling version of the BBC iPlayer. Google it and wonder at its low quality (the ITV Player that is, not P&T!).

Google 'STV Player' - it's miles better than the ITV Player and most programmes ITV show can be found on there.

Hello all - I've had some very positive feedback from my thoughts on Fool Us, and would like to share it with you for food for thought. Here is the link to the article on my brand new blog http://magic-wedding-magician.co.uk/blog/223/penn-teller-fool-us/

A bit late now, sorry, but the show is repeated on ITV2 and ITV2 + 1 on Friday nights.

Really looking forward to tonight's show. Daniel Madison AND Mathieu Bich in one show. Bich is a great thinker, I look forward to what he brings to the show.

That review echoes a lot of thoughts on Twitter which is people complaining that when Penn & Teller aren't fooled they're not explaining how the tricks are done. I think they should remove that claim from the beginning of the programme but I'm glad they're not giving the tricks away. The show feels more a celebration of magic than trying to pull bits down.

Half the fun is seeing Teller's reaction to some of the tricks. He's someone who clearly has so much respect and love for magic and the skill involved. Even when not fooled you can tell when he's blown away by someone's skill.

Very happy how they edited young and strange. They are a phenomenal double act and, all going well, will go very very far.

Love

It is a little "Unbalanced" though, some people seem to get away with the secret being "Exposed" & some don't! Maybe they don't reveal as much, if they have "Respect" for the PERFORMANCE, would love to know what the criteria actually is, but suspect it might be that............

All good wishes

I'd love someone in P & T's audience, after an effect is done to just go up and ask to examine a prop they used. Doubtless they wouldn't be too happy.

The recording I saw contained a lot more discussion and explantion than was shown on TV so there is more involved but, thankfully, it's not broadcast. In some respect the segments are repeated for technical reasons and filmed again so the explanations tend to be somewhat briefer under those circumstances. Also bear in mind that Johnny Thompson is behind the scenes, he's the only one other than the performers who knows the secrets used and he can rule whether P&T have got it right even if only a few words of explanation are used.

I thought Mark Shotland was great but got a raw
Deal on the explanation part. Penn gave that away which was a shame.

I'm in two minds about this show.

Whether or not we like it,it's entertaining to say the least. There is a lot of stuff exposed on it.Mentalists seem to be getting a bashing off Penn the most.Their own act tonight exposed forcing, palming and false cuts and shuffles. Will this have the lay person look at my magic as a puzzle to try work out?Time will tell.

I know it's being said time and time again but this really does promote magic as a puzzle. What's more it might possibly encourage the layman to want to examine what seem to be ordinary items even more.Even if you do control your audience, they may be that much more skeptical despite being quiet about it.

Having said that I do think that 99% of the material will be forgotten but it's kind of like the damage the masked magician left.No one remembers any of the illusions he exposed but they do remember the principles used (Smokes, mirrors trick boxes etc) which is quite damaging. Not that I'm comparing Penn and Teller to the masked magician.

Albeit at least when they expose they make it entertaining. My friend today was talking about how amazing their cups and balls act even though they explained it.

Like I said I'm in two minds.I'm waiting for someone to say something to influence my own decision

I think the ones who have not done anything "special" get picked apart.
The tricks that a punter could spend £xxx on and learn over a year or so is not anything special.

If some one took something like, "bullet catch" and used a sub machine gun and caught 5 bullets all marked that would be impressive.
