If you have a shop called "The Book Warehouse" near you, they have these cards for £1:49. I figured that if you're doing magic away from the UK, they may be fun - It is summer holiday time, after all!



They're not quite bicycle card stock, but they're quite usable, although they won't faro at all. They're bridge sized (so very easy to palm), and, as the Union Jack is painted on to wooden boards, and there's knots in the wood work, they have a one way marking built in to them!

I have quite a few friends in Germany, so I go there fairly often... And I have been known to ham up the English-ness, Guv'nor!

I used to visit the US a lot and could never resist turning the wick up on the English accent, and speak in a very short clipped British tone, don't you know type of thing. also at the Supermarket checkout as the cashier handed me my change I would always say, 'Cheers!' - they used to only hear that on TV!

Which also, I observe, makes them directional (i.e. you can identify when they've been rotated), for those who are looking for something nice and easy to do with them...
