monsieur incredible
at least you can do one and i wouldnt have noticed it unless you had pointed it out in your post

By the way, the pass was definitely not awful! Sure, I saw it on the video, but that's because I was looking for it. If you're just chatting to someone, do you think they'll notice it? That's what counts

Good pass indeed. I'm still awfully slow with my pass. LOL

Your pass was top notch from here

If I'm honest, the first time I ever did a pass in a video (some of you will remember it) was in my Joker's Wild re-jig, and I was amazed that even I couldn't see it (and I F****** did it), so on video every pass I do will compare to that one. From personal experience I know I can slip my pass by any lay person with a bit of misdirection. But you can't misdirect in videos and compared to my Joker's Wild pass this is poor (though I have mentioned that I'm quite inconsistent with it). Thanks to all you guys. You all make me smile :D

It would, but that'd remove time from the cool soundtrack...

If you can do the sleights in this then you might want to have a look at Emerge Triumphant (only on Penguin unfortunately *sigh*) by Oz Pearlman - it's a triumphey effect like this but with a kicker where the cards are in NEW DECK ORDER after the shuffles and cuts.

Scriptorilsky wrote:
As katrielalex said you can check the emerge triumphant by Oz Pearlman

I'm familiar with Emerge Triumphant already, but the thought had never occured to me to meld the two until you mentioned it. Thanks, I'll give it a go. Although this has become my favourite impromptu version of Triumph so 90% of the time it'll have to go without the kicker.

Thanks to everyone for their comments, compliments and criticisms - they're all very welcome. I've been amazed at the response of both this version (dominantly belonging to Guy Hollingworth) and my own version of triumph...I hope I can continue this success with my future videos.

THAT WAS BRILLIANT :D

Seriously mate, well done. I am kinda annoyed cause I have that DVD for over a year and must have overlooked that routine yet I lend it to you for a couple of days and you find that off it. You are gonna have to run through the handling of that with me when we meet up, it was the best looking Triumph I have seen in a long time (and you know it takes a lot to impress me).

Have you got anything else off that DVD? I do that effecr with the 4 blank cards turning into 4 copies of the spectators selection all the time. Its well cool.

P.S Your pass looks fine to me! :D

Actually, I have been known to do Emerge Triumphant without the kicker just because I like the shuffle :).

Oh, and by the way, if you write [quote="somebody"] then it will look nicer 8).

Well it was a case of seeing the bigger picture...his original handling had a really unnecessarily complicated ending so I simplified that straight away. In fact I've made it even easier since by using an idea I saw sankey use.

I like that one too...I've had a great idea for what I think might be an improvment to that routine as it uses just four cards and the selection. I'll have to run it by you on friday. I also like the one called E-Z Tunnel, it looked really easy but it's quite difficult to handle the cards as carefully as you need to. Gonna take some practice.

Thanks for the kind words from you all.

Anyways, was watching all sorts of magic videos I've watched before. When I'm bored, I just watch them cause they are cool. Well, today, watched it and just realised that I haven'ted figured it quite out yet but also realised that your pass, although it was good, wasn't perfect... Hm... I think I should stop there. :)

No no. It's just that I didn't want to give away too much information. The whole thing was good. Just a few little aspects which needs a bit more practice on.

When you did the pass, don't tilt it to the side. Keep it up right so we only see the top or so rather than the side. That was the only reason why I could see the pass. Otherwise, it was quick and well hidden amongst the patter or whatever it's termed as.

When you did the flip at the end, try and keep it straight. Use the index finger to cover as much as possible. Just the edge of the pack was visible at the end of the flip. Forgot to mention this in my first post when I was commenting on the pass which I didn't notice because I was tired then. :P

Now, if you want me to be real critical, your spring wasn't good and your riffle shuffle (on the first) go wasn't good. Should get it right the first time. LOL

But overall, it was good. :)

I agree with bitsnpieces but it would be very stupid of me to comment the unperfection of your moves while trying to perfect them myself. :)

Thanks for your comments guys. I'll take them under advisement. And Scriptorilsky, you don't need to be a master magician to help others become better. Just a keen eye and a keen interest is all you need. We're all here to help each other.

I've mentioned before that whilst on some occasions my pass has been invisible even to me, I'm very inconsistent with it. Which is why in real world performances I use obtain some eye contact from the speccie before doing the pass then immediately separate my hands. This gives the illusion that they weren't looking away long enough for me to do anything.

Thanks again guys. Anymore comments...keep 'em coming.

Great job. But isnt the trick exactly the same as Dai Vernons triumph explained in the "stars of magic"? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry, just noticed the difference. This version is perhaps a little bit more straight forward. Good job.

OK it took me a good 3 attempts at looking at that to even spot the pass, so don't worry about it, because

a) all of us are looking at it from a magicians point of view
b) it was pretty un-noticable anyway
c) your audience aren't going to have the chance to reply it and/or watch out for it. Because they won't even know it's coming.

Great trick, I can't quite figure out how you did the bit... the.... well, pretty much everything AFTER the pass

Impressive.
