Both Tomo, and myself know this first hand.

Indeed. It's not often I watch a performance wondering how the doctors at casualty will get car spray paint off an eyeball!

Maybe he was given a posthypnotic suggestion not to see the cameraman? He certainly looked like he was in a trance to me...

Or not.

Unless I've got things confused, the DB thing in November is a 3D magic special. Nothing new by DB (he's merely introducing the acts) but old stuff by various magicians and new stuff by Pete Firman

When you have the lights on indoors and its dark outside it is hard to see anything out the window.

But then again how did derren know Ben would have his curtains open?

Aye...

Sounds good, although I kinda think it being in 3D may detract from what would be a very good show anyway...

Derren has recorded a 'response' with regard to his roulette success. I'm guessing it's not an official Channel 4 video though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1Cc6Bof2_0

Does the fact that he used a silly voice mean that subconsciously he's putting distance between himself and the messed up roultette prediction? It wasn't really Derren addressing the c**k up, it was the funny voice. Or perhaps he was just embarrassed about it all.

3D? Those stupid coloured glasses give me eye strain.

He discussed this effect with Sarah and I at Tabula Mentis earlier in the year. He said he also did it with knives, which sounds horrific. Does he have a site, by the way? Where does one buy Roni's stuff?

In this country the only place to buy Ronis items, is directly from Roni himself. Its pot luck, because He makes up everything by hand in very limited numbers. He signs everything too. :)

The only item you should be able to get from dealers is his clear clib board.
There is one dealer in the states that carries a few pieces, including Graffitti.
But Roni really is the best place to go, because if he likes you, and knows you, you get a good deal from him. :)

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Wow! In that video, Derren does a remarkable impression of Stewie from Family Guy...

So, let's assume he didn't c**k up and being one off was deliberate, I think anything else would be unlikely.

Is this not quite a standard thing? Jugglers ALWAYS deliberately drop before the really hard end trick in order to get more applause/cash etc.

Blaine cocked up a couple of stunts.

Is it not so that next time he is on he "has something to prove". And the laypublic may be more interested than if he had got it right.

?

The juggling analogy is quite true, but the mistakes made by jugglers serve to build tension before the big finale - and generate a bigger round of applause when their big ta-dah works.

If that's what Derren was going for, his take on that plot was... well... wobbly. :?
