The entertainer investigates the reality behind America's faith-healing phenomenon, and chooses an unsuspecting member of the British public who is prepared to adopt the guise of a pastor. I'm looking forward to this. I was involved about a month into filming, and what they did at that point I definitely thought was clever :)

I've also got higher hopes for this than the bloody aeroplane crud. I liked his de-bunking of the scouse conman & if this is anywhere near that i'll be happy as long as he doesn't start coming over all Jeremy Kyle again.

fnarr fnarr...

I saw a trailer last night and it looks more like Messiah. Maybe doing this stuff is why he's not cracked America.

It's probably good that he isn't that well known in the US or he'd have nowere to go and do stuff like this. In the UK he'd be spotted quite quickly but if he became that well-kown in the US he'd have to find another English speaking country to film these specials - Australia, Canada, New Zealand?

Course not! It's in the programme, I'm just not on TV!

It seems a regular occurence for me these days :P

I personally really liked Messiah - it was one of my favourite specials - so I'm also looking forward to how this goes down in the US!

Haven't we seen all of this before? It sounds a bit yawn-inducing unfortunately.

I'm surprised no ones made any comments on the show now that it's aired.
I thought it was * fantastic.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

So far I've only seen the first half, which I enjoyed. I don't know (or care :)) if it will change the world, but it entertained me.

So Evangelist Christian faith healers are con men?
Wow, Derren, none one realised that. We are all too stupid. Thanks for Derren for showing us the way....

Next: Derren exposes the tooth fairy and trains one carefully selected member of the public how to slip a pound coin under a kids pillow without them noticing.

It was a nice documentary, almost a 'Derren Brown investigates' episode.

The reason I'm not liking these new specials as much is there is no aha! moment or twist at the end. I was half expecting there to be a bit at the end where Derren reveals it was all for Nathan's benefit somehow.

Im guessing that is a conscious decision from the DB team, leaving the reveal moments for the Live stage shows.

I particularly liked the bit where an auditioning Nathan saw Derren and realised that the show already had a star and that it wasn't going to be all about him (Nathan)

I must say that I thouroughly enjoyed this one. Much better than the events and 'hero'.

Was a bit confused at the end though when the guy read out the brand of his shoes?
