Anthony thank you very much for releasing RiP! I have been studying the field of Hypnotism for over a decade, but it's taken your book for me to grow the balls to go out and actually do it. If only for instilling within me the attitude of 'The Hypnotist' then this book was worth every last penny.

I can only echo what everybody else in this thread is saying...
If you have even a passing interest in hypnotism BUY THIS BOOK!

2 days in... I've had one new one whose hands I stuck to the table whilst I stuck there feet to the floor (boring I know, but I was pressed for time!), one repeat induction (using the instant induction which is niiiiiiice) who corsped when I clicked my fingers ("Why did the chicken cross the road?" "Why couldnt the skeleton go to the party?" and even "You know what's funny? This! *click*).

Also I claim win on one of the girls who knows I am a hypnotist and has known for some time, she says she refuses to make eye contact in case I "get her", I promised her I wouldn't hypnotise her but she needed to look into my eyes - she looked for about 5 seconds, cough-gagged and said "eurgh, I don't feel right" in a rather Derren Brown-ish sort of way.

Ah good fun :D

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Recieved with DVD this morning, ridiculously fast service! I won't have time to read until tonight, but I'm already looking forward to it.

My only complaint so far, is the front and back cover and back to front and upside down

I just ordered this book and I am already very impressed. Within an hour of ordering I recieved an e-mail from Anthony, which really gave the impression that my custom is valued. Attached to said e-mail was a pdf file containing a sample of the book, which I ravenously devoured and I'm already feeling that my money has been very well spent. Can't wait for it to arrive!

So I actually haven't posted an update like I said I would. I'm booked for two gigs, one a comedy club at the end of Jan and the other a party in Feb. Pretty nice!!!

Great purchase. I ordered it via Amazon and it arrived the next morning. I also got a couple of helpful emails from AJ within minutes of ordering - great service, highly recommended.

Hi everyone! I haven't looked back on this thread for a while, but it sure has grown! My brother did get me RiP for Christmas(!!!), and, (even though this is now a cliche :D ) it's a really great, and informative book! I haven't tested any material out yet, due to exams and whatnot, but I'm going to reread the book in detail so I can have a go in school. My brother, Lawrence, seems to have already told people at school that I can hypnotise, so I feel that many people want me to hypnotise them. I've performed magic in school, so I don't think being The Hypnotist to them will be hard - it's just annoying that he told them I learned it from a book he bought, so I can't tell people (like Beardy did) that I've done it for years: and gain experience (in their eyes), probably making it easier for me.
Oh well, I think I'll still do well! I am also extremely pleased with another thing. I seem to remember earlier on this thread that the DVD wasn't any longer included with the book, but when I opened the packaging and a CD-case fell out along with the gleaming book I was ecstatic! (It’s just a personal preference to also have some video to study, and a real book rather than a PDF.)
Another thing, is that on youtube (on Mr. Jacquin’s uploads) is a video I remember of a market place that is described in the book so well. A man is hypnotised in the market to give Anthony the “drugs”, that is, the cucumbers, and how urgently and seriously this man was taking it: frantically dumping dozens of cucumbers into a bag and giving them to Anthony! I realised at that point how many ways hypnosis could be used, and this was a very good example. I couldn’t help myself and laughed hysterically at the poor market-seller guy (sad I know, but it was so hilarious)! I must encourage you guys to watch that video, as it made my day! I just looked for it again, so if you like, here’s the URL: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AkHw_UmS1Ko
I’m thinking of doing something like that in school (once the exams are over in a week). I just need to be confident, like Mr. Jacquin because I’m pretty bad at public speaking type stuff, but I can do this! Anthony, I have huge respect for you and your book and I have to say that I think that this is (at least for me) the best book on impromptu hypnosis (although I’ve not heard of others :) ). I find it funny, also, at the end of the video, when Mr. Jacquin walks away and then says in a cool voice: “Look at that! Hard drugs!”… Brilliant.
Last thing I’ll point out on that video though, is that I hope Mr. Jacquin woke that guy up again, as someone just watching the video might not realise that that should be done. 8)

EDIT: I just checked the URL, and it goes to the webpage, but for some reason the "video is no longer available". Hopefully that's just my laptop messing up and not the video! :?

Thanks Stoner and fabiqaz.

Glad you are enjoying it.

The youtube clip 'Fed' is still available on my youtube channel
http://www.youtube.com/user/antonmes

All the footage on there is the best part of two years old. I am just waiting for a new camera to arrive so I can upload some stuff from performances, street hits and training seminars more recently.

Stay in touch with any questions and your experiences in the field. I have the magicians hypnotism course coming up this weekend. A decent mix of pro and amateur people on board including a pickpocket. Should be fun and I will have a couple of cameras rolling so should have some updates from that soon.

Anthony

PS For the record I always go back later, zap again and clean up. His reaction when I returned with the bin liner full of drugs was priceless 'wot u doin!!'

Hey, Anthony,
I just looked at your channel and I see you do: Wing Chun Gung Fu!
I do: Wing Tyun Kung Fu, so I guess they're the same thing only with different pronunciation! I’m doing it for Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, and I’m now at grade 1, with my 2nd grading in Feb. :)

I was hoping to get 7 people in 7 days. I was invited as entertainment for a friends party as a favour. I was going to be The Hypnotist and as a cheeky convincer had persuaded her that she was only to tell the guests that The Hypnotist would be there. Nothing else about me (apart from how brilliant at it I was ;)). Unfortunately the whole thing went belly up when my head gasket blew.
I was unable to make the party and subsequently did not manage to clock up my 7-in-7 :(
