Hey guys.
I'd like to share an induction I've come up with recently that seems to be very effective. I understand that almost anything can be used as an induction when done with confidence/congruence etc. but I also believe that different inductions have different merits and that this one is quite good.
Basically, after getting permission to hypnotize, I introduce a blind spot test card (an x and a dot a few inches away on an index card) and have the person find their blind spot. I hold onto the card with one hand and hold onto the spec's wrist with the other and move it around to keep it loose while I have them stare at the spot. I make the x appear and disappear a few times, then say, 'the next time the x disappears, your eyes will close and you're going to sleep'. I gently tug on the person's arm and command sleep. I had several successes with this without the use of any set pieces.
The induction has shock, pattern interruption, and eye fixation.
What do you think?
