I was wondering what other hobbies you guys have besides magic?

Somehow I think that a lot of people on here are into music or even play an instrument.
And also a lot of you are into computers, the internet and programming. Am I right?

I myself play the electric guitar and mainly listen to rock (for a topic about music see this topic).
I am an IT-student so I'm also in the programming and webdesigning in my spare time.
An other thing I'm interested in is (stand-up) comedy and making funny homevideos.

But that is for me, so let's hear it, what are your other hobbies and activities?

Yes, yes, yes. But ask me again after I get a new job and free time becomes 0....

I play the guitar, I write poems, short stories and songs and I'm a dj on www.soundbanditsradio.com

I listen to a lot of music and play a lot of videogames too.
I also like drinking when the mood takes me

Other than that... I enjoy going to the gym (not that you'd guess it from my figure v.v ) and playing tennis.

Lots of hobbies, no job.
When I get a job I imagine I'll do more drinking and magic (I'll have more money to do more magic ) play guitar more at the weekends and everything else (aside from dj-ing) will have to take a bit of a cut in time consumption lol.

Hopefully, all the gym will pay off and I'll get in to the police force

yup..guitar for oooh 17 years now...

writing too, short stories victoriana type horror things, and currently working on a comedy script...

designing things, reading alot, music is a huge love of mine, mainly older stuff - obscure 60s and 70s groups - funk/soul/prog/psychedelia/mod and so on...all the cross over stuff too...

And as much as i tried to resist it - i bought myself an xbox 360...im saving up for a machine that stretches time...it used to be called homework when i was much younger...

also a student got virtualy no time at the moment.

If you want a cool language to learn, you cant go wrong with Russian once you've learnt the alphabet it all gets easier

i struggle with the french accent, i have to gen-up on a couple of french films to get in swing of it, then practice...

Spanish im more confident in - russian might well be worth looking into actually...

I'd recommend "Teach Yourself Russian" from the "teach yourself..." series.

In 3 months, it got me to the stage where I could understand half of what the Russians who come into the garage were saying and I could even say a few things to them in Russian that fitted into the conversation

It is actually quite easy - there are no articles (the cause of so much pain in German) and the genders are immediately apparent from the spelling (unlike French for example). It also has few exceptions, as it was formalised as a language only relatively recently.

Having said that, there isn't much use for it. So many Russians speak fantastic english and are much cheaper to employ. These days I'd go for Arabic, Urdu etc. The world was very different when I started learning Russian.

But I agree with the genders, few exceptions etc.

One more thing for Russian - it is very welcome in the Police, Prison Service and Immigration Service though because of the amount of Russians and Balts in the UK. If you're the only Russian-speaking Prison Officer in your jail, you get very busy, believe me!

I have been playing basketball for about 17 years now, and considering im nearly 21, i started pretty early. Little did i know how tall i was going to be back then! Im currently in 2 teams, one of which just got promoted to Division 1 of the West Midlands Basketball League!

I also enjoy going to my Rock concerts, although the student lifestyle that i lead means that i havent been to many recently. Yellowcard was the last one i think.

I enjoy the occassional game of 'Buzz' on my playstation. Its sooo addictive!!

What else? Food. I like to eat. Oh and drinking (obviously). Cant think of any more now
